A marvel of modern product engineering! Goes together like gym equipment. I had it up and running in about an hour. I'm still training our golden retriever puppy and our corgi puppy to use it, but I'm so blown away by the tread assembly quality and the ease of assembly that I'm leaving a review early. It costs about the same as an annual human gym membership, but it's for dog(s), and I expect this one will last years. Well worth it for our family, as I have ended up being too busy to provide more than about 45 minutes in walks per day and my husband sometimes can't take them out at all sometimes due to new to chronic illness flares. I may update in a couple weeks, as I'm sure our pups will love it once acclimated. Right now we are very happy with this! Edit 7/11/25: out corgi pup is all over this! She walks all on her own and appears to enjoy it a great deal :) she understood it immediately and uses it several times per week. This is essential in preventing destructive chewing behavior that had become problematic with her, and is now much more infrequent. Our golden pup is weirded out by the concept and needs a lot of encouragement, so we’re taking it slower with him. I think he will enjoy it eventually as much as our corgi does. We are extremely happy with this purchase!

We love it so far. Easy to assemble except for the break and speedometer because it was super tiny and not very descriptive on anything in the manual. We got a free harness with it so that was cool. Definitely need to put some type of grip tape on it so that your dog has traction because it is slick. I also recommend keeping your dog’s nails short because it also makes it difficult for them to properly walk or run on it. I never even noticed any type of smell coming from it at all. The noise is normal for a treadmill. My 1 y/o, 70lb German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois fits perfectly on it. It works great and easily except I wish the brake would lock because I have to tie a hair bow around it when I’m trying to get my dog on it. Using some block or something to level out the back half would help as well because it sits at an incline and as soon as your dog gets on it he is going because of the incline. They can’t stop by themselves unless you use the brake if it’s inclined like that too. Anyways so far we love it but all dogs need training and so far he’s doing good. Definitely recommend this product.

This treadmill will come in so handy in the extreme heat and the extreme cold/ice when I don’t want to venture out with my dog. The treadmill was very easy to put together. The directions seemed easy to follow. All the parts were packed well and in good condition during assembly. We are working on my dog’s confidence to get on it, but we are making progress! The provided harness is nice, but I plan to use one that we already had.

Easy to assemble. Parts all seem to be of high quality. Much more quiet than I anticipated. Not having wood treads that can cause splinters is nice. I can't speak on the longevity of the product, but I can't pinpoint any weak areas that can fail. Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles loves running on it!

The mill is OK, and glides decently though not as smooth as glass. What I don't like about the mill is that the track is not very wide, and there is space between the track and the frame. One dog accidentally got his back paw in there and received a nasty slice to the side of his foot.

This Slatmill is a good value but buyer beware that you will need to make some safety modifications before use. The slats are slippery and the track does not lock into place. I tied a velcro band around the brake but it turned out not to be 100 percent effective. As a result, when one of my dogs jumped on the track it moved, he slipped and is now scared to try again. It will take time to work with him to get him to trust getting on it again. There is also a gap along each side of the track - between the track and the side rails - In my opinion, it's a safety issue. I have used a pool noodle to help keep my dog centered on the track and not slip into that gap. I have also ordered non skid tape to adhere onto the treads to prevent slipping and so the dogs have some traction. Otherwise, assembly was straight forward and pretty easy. The only confusion I still have is how to attach the dog to the top bar. There seems to be several different ways to do so - still trying to figure that one out.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Excellent product at a very good price. I'm very happy with it. And the price is now $150 less than when I purchased a moth ago. Gotta good reviews. However, it came with an XL harness and I need a medium. I emailed them and they offered to send a medium harness and a bonus leash. I'm happy.

Set up was not too bad. Not the best insurrections, but got the job done. Was surprised with how quiet it is! Once together, it was really easy to move around the room. I really appreciate that along with the hand break, there are break knobs to allow the track to be locked so I can get my dog used to jumping on and off before we began using it. Very happy with the purchase!
