Great camera with ADAS support.
This is a great camera to use with my Mekede Dudu head unit and just a tip when you get this camera. Plug it directly into your android HU with the USB cable to a data USB port so you can install the apk that is embedded in the camera and only accessible after plugging into HU. After you instal the apk the system works great.

As great as my 8core8-128Gb MekedeTech radio setup was, now it's MUCH MORE AWESOME
If you have a Mekedetech unit capable of taking this camera add-on, you will love it. It installed easily sticking to the windshield (that was easier for me than sticking to the dashboard). The unit contains its own dvr program you load via the files app and then update it over an internet uplink (i setup my phone to Hotspot to my car for this). The app updated and I had to allow it on my android phone. The app calibrated easily and then inside the camera app there is a gear icon on the bottom left you further setup and center-calibrate with. The end result is it works GREAT with or without Android Auto active (on samsung fold6 and fold7 tested) and the main car image+nav screen EVEN IN THAT MODE IT keeps or talks (I prefer beep) to tell you if you are lane-drifting and the sensitivity is adjustable! I am used to it now beeping in an intentional lane change, but the ADAS works great. This and the rear cam add-on are must haves for the DUDU6 8core8 models like mine and any other one that can take it. If in doubt write Mekedetech and they will over a day or two in email verify compatibility. Next best thing to having a fully integrated manufacturers setup. My 2006 SL65 with adaptive cruise control (distronic) now has lane keeping and an ADAS system like or better that the new models have. This add-on is a must have. Gets my highest recommendation. Id give it 6 stars if possible. Smooth flawless install, powerful featureset, you dont have to keep the cam screen on-screen to use it and the ADAS features, and simple and easy USB plug in setup with the plenty-long enough supplied cord. You will want to get a class10 sdxc cards for this-I put in a 256gb SanDisk ultra and formatted it with the cam utility and it was easily recognized. I set 3 minute recording intervals and turned voice off since if someone hit me and this recorded it I'd rather not have all my expletives on record, but thats my feisty Italian preference. Get this now. Put it and a backup cam in your list to get if you can use it with your Mekedetech head unit--you'll love it.

Mekede DUDU Dash cam to compliment the DUDU7 Android deck
Works straight away with the DUDU pre installed DVR application. Not impressed at all with the recorded audio recorded sound on my unit is horrible at best, and the picture at night is so so. It's pretty decent in low light but on the screen while watching the video live there can be quite a bit of flaring of the picture around Traffic signals streetlights etc. where the lights overdrive the imaging sensor fairly badly. I have a difficult time getting the not-supplied SD card out of the unit if\when I want to remove it. I have also had one instance where when I wanted to replay a video where something happened in front of the vehicle I was unable to view the video, The video downloads from the card to the deck and then plays in the DVR software but on this occasion download appeared to succeed but hitting the play button on the DUDU7 screen resulted in just a black black frame with neither audio nor video of the event displayed. Other download\playback cycles have however worked as expected. I installed a 32GB card and it serves its purpose. I am sure there are way better dash cams out there but for $50 so far it does the job as well as I need it to do 99% of the time, if you dont mind the horrifying recorded audio. You could get a better dashcam. not sure if you can get a better one that ties directly into your DUDU7 Android deck and lets you watch live cam feed AND the recordings on the deck's 13 inch screen.

Good dashcam, bad ADAS.
For those with generic head units, when you plug the camera in, go to your file manager and you'll see a USB drive. This will have the camera's installation file labeled .apk at the end. Tried with both a DUDU (Mekede) head unit with native support and generic android head unit. Function and operation of the camera works fine. As a pure DVR Dash cam the image quality is decent, installation is easy. Where things really fall down though is the ADAS features including LDWS. There are no instructions or adjustments other than basic things like warning sensitivity (low/med/hi) and distance. This feature was the main reason I purchased the item and it for the most part never worked. The biggest reason was because of lane detection, most of the time it thought that a single lane road was two lanes. Would it be better to install the camera lower? Higher? Who knows, there's no guidance or documentation about it at all. Roads with low contrast lines I can understand but even testing on newly paved and painted roads had the same situation. Since there's a plethora of dashcams out there, this was supposed to stand out for having the ADAS features but because it couldn't work even remotely right, I have to give it 2 stars.
