Necessary for large old dogs
We have an old Great Dane/German Shepherd who in recent years has taken to peeing only in one spot in the yard (it's just outside the back door and easy on his old bones). Well, Captain Peepants had massacred the grass there. I'm not even sure what it is about old dogs' pee, but it's extra potent in killing grass. I'd tried everything--rinsing after he went, laying down hay and top soil--nothing helped. Then I gave up for a while and let him just kill it. Well, that's until rainy season came and his bare pee spot became a mud pit. I laid some of this down and it grew, no problem, no fuss. I barely remembered to keep him off it while it was growing, too. I've ordered a larger bag for next season and I'll keep on top of his grass murder ambitions a little better with this stuff.

Pricey but Works as Advertised.
I'm in Wisconsin so this seed growls really easy here. This is a great product, and you do get what you pay for here. you can really throw this anywhere and it will grow, but YOU HAVE TO WATER IT 2-3 TIMES A DAY PEOPLE! My only real gripe is that you don't get as much seed because of the soil inside, you are better off buying seed separate and throwing peet or soil over it, but if you just need it for a few spots, then its worth the convenience of the shaker jug.

Cheaper to run a sprinkler
Didn’t work much better than spraying the lawn down after they go out. It kinda works but after you go through the whole process I found tearing up any yellow patches and soaking the spots was cheaper and worked as well

Didn't even work
Terrible experience with this product. I tilled up the ground and spread this seed over the bare spots. Moved the dogs so they wouldn't be trampling on the areas and watered it regularly. Didn't even start to grow. Total waste of money this time. I'm up for any suggestions to a product that actual works.

IM SO SURPRISED IT WORKED!
I live in Texas, it’s March however so with this super muddy patch in my new apartment I went out there with a 3” hand rake (not even joking) and tilled this patch of mud row by row: I sprinkled the seed all over, made sure the patch stayed wet, and kind of packed it into the soil by stepping and I spread wet top soil with seed around. I used two of these containers. With two weeks of spring rain, moderate temps, this grass is GROWIN!!! I am so so happy I will have a little yard for my patio. 10/10 recommend.

Didn’t work
I used this to fill in some patches in the yard. Raked the area, dropped some seed, watered throughly. Nothing grew. Not sure what went wrong.
