Saitek Cyborg EVO Joystick (PC)

What a brilliant joystick for use in flight simulators!The construction is first class, with high quality plastics and brushed aluminium.The movement is smooth throughout the range of motion for the stick and the throttle, while it all feels perfectly wheighted.There are as many buttons as you could realisticly ever need, with 6 on the base, 5 on the stick itself, a trigger switch and a point of view hat.This joystick can be adjusted for left/right handed people as well as different hand sizes. (The default setting was perfect for me though)It all installed without a hitch, and the programming software it comes with is very powerful. It allows you to combine button presses with the keyboard LEFT and RIGHT SHIFT keys, giving a total of 36 in game control options. (Not including direction, speed and point of view)A nice feature is that the buttons on the base have red lights in them, and there is a blue light on top. In the dark, these glow quite brigthly and look very cool indeed!At the price of £30, this is perhaps as much value for money as I have ever had with any computer related accessory. Save yourself the money and don't bother with Force Feedback joysticks as they aren't realistic anyway. Buy this and you won't be disapointed!

The Saitek Eborg is the best joystick I have ever used. It is so comfortable and easy to use.Many people shall look at it and think “too many buttons” but in today’s modern gaming there is a need to have that many buttons at your comfort as gaming is speeding up and it’s all about reflexes.The Eborg can be adjusted to any hand size and that for many people is a great advantage. The joystick can also be programmed and this is done through a GUI interface and easily done for people who are and are not computer literate.This is a must for Flight Sims and is great on game such as BF1942 & Desert Combat as it makes flying helicopters a lot easier. Buy this or be shot down!!

Don't use this enough but has more than enough to keep you going on any flying game not used it in awhile and it still works :p

I bought this flight stick to go along with Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Using a keyboard and mouse just isn't the same. The only problem I had was the hand grip, They have tried to make a universal base to the grip to allow all hand shapes and sizes (being left or right handed) to use it. I found that this wasn't so comfortable to rest my hand on as it 90 degree angle piece of plastic. I must add though that it can be taken off if found uncomfortable. The buttons, throttle lever and flight stick its self are perfect for any member of the family.

I'm not one for playing a lot of games but always fancied a helicopter silmulation game and bought the Commanche 4 game which required a joystick. After reading other reviews, I purchased the Saitek Cyborg EVO Joystick (PC). It had all of the functionality I required and was initially great. However, one month (yes, 4 weeks) into using it, the tigger switch began intermitently failing to work - frustrating when it is the main firing mechanism, not to mention the money paid out for the unit. A few days later the tigger packed up completely! All of the other switches are ok but it renders the joystick useless. Can't recommend this product and am just about to send it back.

Having read rave reviews about this joystick, I bought it expecting a reasonably quality stick that would certainly be better than my £10 stick. In some ways it is, but in the most important way it isn't.My main problem is the centering mechanism, the cone shape with the spring. This is a horrible design that causes the stick to be stiff one moment then totally loose the next. The pressure required to move the stick varies greatly depending where on the axis it is, which makes precision movements impossible. The old stick, 1/3rd of the price, was totally consistent throughout.I have owned this joystick for about a year, and it has already lost a button. This is worrying considering that I do not use the stick very often and so it spends most of its time in a box.Positives are that the hand grip is adjustable and it has a lot of buttons. The rudder twist is the main reason I chose this stick over others.I have never been impressed with Saitek sticks (having used other models owned by friends), in particular it has always been the centering system and the build quality that ruin the experience.

hi, i just bought flight simulator 2004 and was on a hunt for a good joystick. i finally decided to buy this joystick and i think its excelent- provides all the necessary functions required for a flight simulator game. it looks great too! and i bought it from amazon itself, and even though i didnt take the express post, it was delivered in 24 hrs in an enormous box, by parcel net.

Wanted a quality but not expensive joystick to tackle Flight Simulator 2004 and have not been disappointed will be happily using this until I feel I wish to take on the bigger and more serious aircraft and want seperate throttle-rudder controls etc. For those niggles from other users regarding calibration it is interesting to note that I have just tried out a bought aircraft add-on for FS2004 and the joystick performs better and with a smoother response (I think) than with the FS2004 built in training aircraft!! Overall if starting out on FS2004 an ideal bit of kit that won`t break the bank.

It is similar to my old one so with a little learning curve I was able to master it . It works great with my older OS and older flight simulators

Erstmal besticht der Joystick durch eine einfach geniale Optik!Die angepriesenen Einstellmöglichkeiten außer der für die Handauflage sind nicht so sehr hilfreich, eigentlich bloß Spielerei!Die Tasten sind allesamt gut erreichbar angebracht und mit 12 Stück großzügig dimensioniert, allerdings hat man mit kleinen Händen etwas Probleme. Um an die oberen Tasten beim CoolieHat ranzukomm, muss man seine Hände ganz schön "verkrepeln"!Ansonsten liegt der Stick perfekt in der Hand und ermöglicht präzise Manöver,wobei er bei längerer Spielzeit an der Hand unbequem wird, aber is denk ich mal normal. Seitdem ich bei BF42 den Stick benutze, schicke ich jeden Panzer spätestens beim zweiten Anflug ins Jenseits,selbst wenns nen Tiger ist!

Diesen Joystick muss an nicht mit der zweiten Hand beim spielen festhalten, da er sehr sicher und rutschfest auf der Tischplatte steht. Hinzu kommt, dass er sich perfekt auf die linke und rechte Hand einstellen lässt, so dass man auch ganz bequem an alle Bedienelemente rankommt

Ive been burnt by "top quality" flight sticks over the years that would not calibrate despite software specifically designed for them.This EVO stick is stylish, STABLE and has several functions. True, the thrust control being behind the yoke makes it almost unusable. However, the yoke is so stable in calibration and recognition of its many buttons, I dont even have to utilize the software included!LEDs, duo-tone "steel" and black colors, very nice ergonomic grip, comfortable, the position of the palm rest and head are adjustable. This cannot be beat for value of price and function. I cannot praise it high enough and would gladly condemn sticks three times as expensive as this.

I use this unit to fly combat missions in Microsoft's various Flight Simulators and in piloting a Mech during Mechwarrior battles. The unit makes the transition easily. I don't have to worry about the technology in my hand, it just performs. Overall, it provides a flexible (programable) platfrom that delivers impressive gaming performace. A great device.
