Wow! I like this bra!
I have always bought my minimiser bras from M&S, but the last time I bought them, a couple of years ago, the designs were nice, but for some reason, they were nowhere near as minimising as they used to be, so consequently, I have not worn them much.I have put on 2 stone in the last year, from medication so unfortunately my bust is even bigger than it was. I have managed to lose 1 stone of that weight, so when I decided to try one if these bras, I just decided to stick with the size I have always been, (36D), as I am determined to lose the other stone as well, getting back to my normal adult weight. This review may be a little premature, as I have only had this bra for a few days, but I am so delighted with it, that I thought I would write my review now, and update it in a few months time. As my bust is a little bigger than normal, the bra is a little bit too small in the front of the cups, resulting in a slight amount of double boobage, but it fits perfectly everywhere else, so I am going to keep it, knowing it will fit better once the extra lbs are lost. By the way, the double boobage doesn't actually show up when wearing neat fitting clothing. It's just the way the bra is designed. The bra that I bought is called "Sailor Blue" but in fact, it's a gorgeous dark midnight blue. The material is very soft, with no itchy or scratchy areas at The wires also do not stick in anywhere. The support is fantastic, as long as you don't mind a little bit of bounce. I personally prefer this, as it has a more natural look and feel. I think it is also great value at £17.00. This design also comes in a huge variety of colours, which is a real bonus, and is quite unusual for minimiser bras! I also like that the straps are not overly wide, unlike some. I had a sun top on yesterday, with spaghetti type straps, and it looked perfectly acceptable.Disadvantages: I've only just realised that it is Hand Wash only, which is a bit annoying. Not quite sure how I'm going to drip dry it, if I can't put it in the washing machine (I have no washing line). Also, as it is designed to give you a cleavage, it does not cover your whole breast. This is fine until it comes to any prolonged bending down eg. gardening, housework when I find that boobage definitely starts to escape from the confines of the bra!!! You will definitely have to double check that areas haven't fallen out, in this scenario!!!!! Lol The only way of preventing the great escape, would be to squat down, instead of bending fully over, which I have to do, due to knee problems. All in all....I would highly recommend this bra.I will update in a few months, as to wear and tear etc.UPDATE APRIL 2018:Still putting weight on unfortunately, but have stuck with this bra throughout, going from 36D to 36DD to 38DDD. I have tried other bras, but have ended up just sending them back, and sticking with this one. Like another reviewer, I suffer from M.E. and Fibromyalgia, so am always in a great deal of pain. Although this bra is underwired, it is still very comfortable, and non-scratchy. They DO wash ok in the washing machine at 30°C too, which is great. I wish that Amazon would stock more colours and sizes though.IF THE MANUFACTURER IS READING THIS: a wider selection of more vibrant colours and patterns would be really nice
