Hills FD88002 Rotary 7 Washing Line, High grade steel, Forest Glade Green, 3.6m head diameter

Having always had a Hills Rotary Washing Line every time I've moved house my expectations were realistic - a superb dryer.BUT in order for my latest purchase to be fully assembled, ie for the rotary arms to become extended, we needed to cut the line that had been so carefully threaded and twisted.Once the line had been cut, rethreaded, and knotted, the arms were released and It has been in use regularly.

Great sturdy construction. Fitting the base is quite a job but was done as part of a new patio construction for us. It needs to be solid as the line is big and heavy. Bought this size to suit our growing family, but reckon we'll need a bigger washing machine to use it's full potential. It's a shame that a cover isn't included but it's so tall that you'd struggle to get it over the top anyway. Only slight niggle is that I busted the retaining clip off (it's just a piece of cable that retracts into the tube but is used to lash around the arms when in the folded position), my fault but you need to make sure it's retracted before lifting the arms.Well recommended, gets washing dry in no time.

Probable a well made rotary line but far too big. This rotary line would suit a large family. It's very heavy and the crank handle is not easy to use. I have had a Hills rotary line in the past which has served me very well so I wish I could have replaced for the same model but unfortunately it is discontinued.It looks like Hills have moved their designs of rotary lines into making more heavier, taller, larger rotary lines along with crank handles which to me is not in the right direction for ease of use and simplicity. Why companies have to go and change their manufacturing designs of their well made products which have earned them respect and excellent reputation in the first place is so annoying.I have bought a Brabantia instead now but still not as good as my previous discontinued Hills.

Had one of these before, but someone pinched it from my garden. A lot of money really, but you get what you pay for. Once installed it is very sturdy, and takes loads of washing without a problem. Other reviews have said they had problems with installing it, or with the winding mechanism, I haven't found any problems like that.

Best washing line ever! Bought this to replace another Hills hoist which was about 50 years old and which no longer hoisted. This newer model is so much better and I couldn't wish for anything more. Very simple to assemble and operate and I love all its features.

Excellent quality, last Hills rotary lasted 25 years and to be honest they sold the part that broke but decided to try the new one. Probably chose one size to big as there is only two of us but I love that the king size bedding fits a cross the outside lines. Would highly recommend

I have just purchased the Hills Rotary 7 washing line. It has come up to all my expectations. I cannot stop saying how great a washing line it is. Does everything it says in description. You get what you pay for. An excellent purchase.My previous Hills washing line lasted over 30 years. With five of us in our family you can't ask for much more than that. Brilliant.

Love my line, just how I remembered from the one I had in Australia, recommended this line to everyone.
