Great performer!
This is a very compact monitor speaker that is active in its mode of operation. It uses12 volt DC power at only a couple amps maximum. The unit sounds great and has high and low EQ adjustment knobs. XLR and 3.5 mm input jacks and volume control. The mounting bracket is substantial and serves a desk top stand. Rugged plastic housing that is tough and durable. Very portable.I use this for amateur radio comms, and since the EQ is adjustable my listening experience is so pleasant. I can adapt my ears to a noisy environment or quiet.I highly recommend the speaker as it is an all around great performer. However, the caveat is the price point, at $155 each.

GOOD FOR THE MONEY
Used in a rock band setting. Instrument were loud around my drums. I was able to hear everyone quite nicely. For a small speaker it packs a punch

Works...but not as you'd expect.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Kind of average sound. Worse yet, the input is NOT live level. I had to use a attenuator to make it work properly. And at this price I would expect it to work like a floor monitor. Additionally the packaging was very generic. Not even labeled as the product.

Absolutely perfect for my needs
The media could not be loaded. EXACTLY what I was looking for in setting up an intermittent ideation workflow.

Great little utility speaker!
Perfect little problem solver, squak box for audio production, etc.

Lacks clarity/Mid range-y sound.
I did not expect a lot of bass response from a such a small speaker, but I did expect a good transparent high-end. This little speaker would be good for representing speech, or perhaps could work for a small duo, but in my full-band application, it just sounded like a small transistor radio. It would be fine as a talkback speaker in a studio situation, and might be ideal in a small audio visual presentation, but just doesn’t have the high-end frequency response necessary to compete with cymbals and electrified instruments. Another word of advice: Read the fine print carefully. This seller charges a 15% restocking fee and requires the buyer to pay shipping for any other reason than a defective item. I am used to no hassle Amazon returns, so I was caught by surprise. If I had tried this out in a music store, I would have passed on it immediately. As much as I hate to say it, going with a big box store protects a buyer from having to pay a restocking for an item that won’t work for their application.
