**UPDATED REVIEW 12/20/2024** BEAUTIFUL! Perfectly matched to my device, and SO eye catching!
I’m updating my review a second time because I want to talk about how Spigen deals with customers when something goes wrong with one of their products. There is a spring pin that keeps the buckle and tang assembly attached to the band. Yesterday, while taking my watch off my wrist one end of that pin broke off, causing the buckle to just fall off the band.I went to Spigen’s web site and emailed customer support with the issue, asking if they could guide me by telling me what kind of pin I’d have to buy to fix the band. That pin holds the buckle on AND the tang, so I assumed it’d be a kind of ‘specialty’ item. I gave my Amazon order number, the date I purchased the band, and a brief description of the issue. I also just asked if they could tell me what kind of pin I’d need to buy.Spigen got back to me the same day, asking for a photo of the broken band. I took that photo today and sent it back to them. Just a couple hours later they replied, saying they’re sending me a brand new band to replace the broken one.Just REALLY impressed at how Spigen takes care of the people who buy their products. I protect ALL my Apple electronics with Spigen cases - watches, iPhones, and MacBooks. Can’t imagine trusting my gear to any other company.I'm updating my review after having worn this watchband every day from May 14 2024 until today, July 23 2024 - just over two months. My opinion of this watch band (or Spigen products in general) hasn't changed - it is very comfortable, very durable, and as attractive as the day I first installed it. I've put it through some very active situations, and there are as yet no noticable signs of wear or aging. But, the design of the inner side of the band (next to your skin) has a series of ridges and the holes designed to hold the tongue part of the clasp. These ridges and holes trap sweat and dirt that builds up over time and eventually begin to exude an unpleasant odor, especially if you're a very active user in conditions where you'll sweat a lot. I reckon that'd be the case with any similar type of band, so I don't count this as a cause for reducing my 5-star review.I first noticed the odor (well, it was actually my wife who first noticed it) while on a dinner outing with my wife - juuuuuussst a bit embarrassing. I've learned since that experience to clean the band weekly. The best tool I've found to accomplish this is a stiff-bristle toothbrush, slightly dampened with water. The bristles effectively loosen the built-up gunk in the grooves and holes on the inner side of the band. Afterwards, wipe down the band with a paper towel to remove rest. Oh, and be sure you set that toothbrush aside so it won't be accidentally used in someone's mouth. Yeah, that's a thing.----------Original Review-----------------------------------------------------The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a magnificent watch. So WHAT is up with those AWFUL watchbands available for it from Apple? I purchased the Trail band with my Ultra 2, and found that it was VERY difficult to put on and take off - it just wasn't long enough to slide comfortably around my hands. So, I did what I ALWAYS do when I need good looking, rugged accessories for my Apple tech - I went to Spigen. It seems no matter what tech you have, Spigen has the right accessory to suit your needs and satisfy your tastes, be it phone cases, screen protectors, or watch bands. When I saw this band I immediately stopped searching; it was THAT eye-catching. And after having installed it and worn it, I'm even more impressed; it looks like it's OEM, it matches my watch so perfectly. That I've gotten a NUMBER of compliments on how great my watch looks with this band only reinforces my opinion that Spigen has got you covered. The slide-in clips and the metal parts of the band perfectly match my watch in both color and texture. The band itself (I chose the smooth band) is VERY soft and comfortable. The Ultra 2 is a BIG watch, and this band perfectly matches that dynamic. The overall look is one of massive, rugged durability. A friend of mine who loves Apple products but doesn't own a watch was so taken by the appearance of mine he took photos of it to send to his wife; after seeing mine, he's decided he has to have one too, with this same watchband.Great job Spigen! I HIGHLY recommend this watch band for both for its great looks and its comfort. It is certainly one of their more expensive bands, but it is WELL worth the investment.

It's a chunky one, yet incredible piece of art
Let me start with my sheer astonisment of the craftsmanship and thought put into this strap - I've never seen anything like it! It gives the watch a bulky, yet bold look, hardware matches colorwise to the AWU case and the lugs fit perfectly. Second, it's quite comfortable once you get the exact strap hole to fit, it's quite long and would accomodate larger wrists as well. A friend of mine commented on the Omnitrix (peace 2 Ben 10) kinda look :) The strap is also quite unobtrusive, buckle is great and has Spigen's logo branded, not to mention the orange accents which are such a great thought (they might have gone without them, but they didn't, Spigen guys are really putting their heads into action!). At first, don't be surprised if the strap has an aftificial material smell, it will fade away with time. Writing this review, I cannot stop looking at it with admiration. I don't think there's anything like this on the market and I am sure it was made specifically for the Ultra (although I'll try it on a Series 7 of a friend of mine just to see how it looks). Another thing I've noticed is that the strap is removable (two screws on the top steel elements) so I suppose it can be swapped for a custom leather strap as well (I think it's 26mm width too). With clear conscience I would recommend the strap to AWU users, especially the ones coming from G-shocks and bulky divers - you won't be disappointed, it's that good. In fact, it's perfect, 6 out of 5, period.

Durability
Right off the bat, this is a great watch band for men! I hate the bands that are thin and dainty. This one is nice, thick, well made and feels comfortable on the wrist. If you’re looking for a great band for you watch ultra, this is the one.

Heavy, magnetic, but also heavy duty
I wanted to give it 5 stars; it is an awesome, rugged, great looking band for the Ultra with perfect match of the finish. It is noticeably heavy though (which does not really bother me). I wish they made the metal parts out of Ti. The buckle is non-magnetic steel, but the watch connectors are magnetic steel and may be affecting compass accuracy slightly. I didn't do a full test yet, but (true) North does seem slightly off what the iphone and garmin 66i report as true north (when all 3 are set to true north). It may be only a few degrees and I need to test further. I wouldn't rely on just a apple watch (alone) for orienteering but any possible variance is good to know. All else is really great with this band. The design allows for laying flat as well.

Initial Review
This is an initial review upon opening the box and "installing" the band on the watch. So far this looks excellent, perfect fit: not too wide, not too thin. The look is absolutely amazing and it makes the watch look more expensive than what it is. The band, even though is rubber, has a texture to the outside that simulates a fabric band (we'll see how this holds up to wear and tear). Also, the thickness is perfect giving it enough flexibility and toughness needed on a watch like this. The rubber band is held into the metal brackets via screws (I imagine it has glue also, I can't tell)The metal brackets have the same finish as the watch itself albeit not the same material was used, however, it is still metal, most likely aluminum. The orange accents on the swivel screws accentuate the orange accents on the watch itself complimenting it.Like I said before, this is an initial review and will update after some wear and tear.Update 05/29/24Still good, some fraying but normal wear and tear. Good to go. Still 5 stars

Cracks after 8 months
Lasted 8 months. The plastic underside began to crack. Definitely looks good but for the price I would of expected longer life.
