Great addition to the home network
We bought this to add to our home network. Very easy to add and set up. Smaller than the older versions.

Good, but you need to do some prep work.
Firstly I got these working and they have covered quite a bit of my house. I bought a 3 pack and an extra one. The set-up for the first 3 was straight forward (the set up per node takes much longer than the App sayes), the trouble started with the single node to adding it to the 3 others. I tried in multiple locations, but says it couldn't connect to any of the other nodes. I eventually got it to connect about 1 metre away from the Primary node, but it was still troublesome. So I got on the phone to tech support , who basically said that I need to update the firmware on all the nodes. They wanted to remote into a PC, but I run a MAC, and even if I did have a PC I would let them do that. So after I had created the online account I had to login to the web portal and update the firmware, after about 1 1/4 on the phone and the firmware updated on ALL four nodes it works fine. The best tip is if you are adding a new node, update the firmware manually, before trying to connect. Download it from lynksys.com (you'll be able to search by model type) and then connect to the node using the wifi details on the bottom of the node), update the firmware by uploading the file , then add the node.

Unreliable
A number of problems with lynsys velop products. I haven't had problems some have had with setting up but:1. Range of each node appears less than original modem2. Nodes keep disconnecting at same time each day3. In latest failure all nodes lost connection I suspect this is because they need connection with lynksys cloud server and I think went down for 15 plus hrs.4. Since last update controlling app has become very unstable see the reviews in android app store not i also note not one reply from lyksys make you wonder if they care about their customersI've given quite some time before reviewing so not a snap judgement my suggestion think twice before buying

Not as good as advertised
Not as good as anticipated. I originally bought the 3 unit velop but had to purchase an additional unit as the wifi cover in my home was not to the required standard.

Great product, lousy customer service
The product is very good and I have four nodes around a three story house. Fast and unbroken WiFi even in the garden. So why only 4 stars, well the support from Linksys is atrocious at best. Setting up the system is not intuitive and having spent 4 hours on the phone with the “support” team I was no further on. Just to give you an idea of the many stupid things they were saying....”is the node near a window” I said about 6 feet away, “oh well that might be to close” very odd!!! Any way I persevered and eventually got it up and running, haven’t looked back since.
