Affordable action camera
I have been waiting for a low cost high quality alternative to the GoPro as my entry camera into exploring action videography. I think this one was a good choice and so far I am impressed with both the quality of the video and the photographs it takes. I am shooting predominately with 1080p because I have a harder time editing larger files. I will be trying 4K occasionally. I really like having the remote control to be able to just strap it on and then start the video or take a picture remotely. I like that the kit contains so many attachment parts, I will be exploring how to use them for a while. I think the quality of the camera and case is sturdy and well built. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and look forward to capturing more adventure moments.

Great images and stabilization; battery hungry and truncated vids
The camera and its accesories are nicely designed and of high quality materials. The photo images and vids are very high quality and I am happy with the color balance. The EIS works very well. I took the camera out on a kayak where I had it mounted to the kayak top. The camera actually actually got rid of the rocking of the boat and kept the horizon rock steady which was amazing. Now onto the probs. The camera gets quite hot in operation as you might expect chews through batteries. When taking 1080 100fps vids I think I am getting about 20 mins per battery. Most troublesome is that when you are taking a video the camera takes a series of 1 minute videos. This is with the looping function off and without using the iCam iPhone app. I have seen some discussion of this online and as of yet have found no answers. I am assuming that a firmware update will solve this soon but I am still waiting.
