Good product
The pulley system is a lot smoother than I thought works just like commercial gym unit

Good home gym, terrible assembly instructions
The product is ok, could be improved in several aspects.1. The assembly instructions are terrible. Pay close attention to the bolts and pulleys. They have different sizes, diameters and length for different locations.2. Do NOT install the weights as instructed before attaching the cross bar! You will break your back trying to align both sides. Complete the frame and leave the weights and cable to the very last step.3. The plate guides are too flimsy. The end attachments should be made too grip them much more snug. Be careful doing to fast motions.4. They should add another cross reinforcement to better hold tue frame. It is sturdy enough for home use but does get wobbly a bit.

Body Solid needs to Review
The machine was exactly what I was looking for! It's just the company made some huge mistakes! Body Solid needs to make sure that they have all the parts and pieces they need for the equipment before telling consumers what they have "in stock!" That was where my problems all began, then a lady called me about my order (which was already a week late). She was short with me. Then when I was trying to get my questions answered by this woman, which she made it seem like they were not valid questions about the GDCC200! Then my boxes came and I began building my functional trainer. And found out they put all the little pieces, nuts, bolts, washers, all in one bag. I feel like that it is not the consumers responsibility to determine which bolt needs to go where! They NEED to separate the parts. Body Solid also needs to rewrite the instructions because their "order" of how things should be put together is totally wrong and confusing as Hell! It is so frustrating!

... star because of few short comings that would be easy to address in design
so the quality of this ps of equipment is goo however i give it three star because of few short comings that would be easy to address in design.1) the rails that weight stack slide on are pretty flimsy. a solid bar or thicker wall stock on these rails could have easily been used for very little extra cost and no impact on assembly and handling.2) the rails have no hard attachment point on the bottom and as such one can push the rails side to side a bit as there is clearance i the slot on the bottom. this cow;d have easily be addressed by a 2nd rubber stopper that wedges to the hole a the base3) the squat bar shown in the pictures does not come with the system.4) the instructions for assembly are good however the direction are printed on both sides of the paper. unfortunately the instruction for each section and the sketches that show you the exploded assembly view are front and back of the page. this could have been address by a single starting the detail a 1/2 later thus putting the insertion on the back of one pac of paper and the sketch on the next page. it seems petty until your flipping the page over 20 times to identify bolts to be used and connection point. it added at lest 25% time to set up and extra hassle.other than these items it good quality pcs of equipment for home use. iit is certainly not gym quality but should do for 99% of the home use application.I just can give more than three stars due low hanging fruit they missed discussed above.

I ordered the BS 200 and then found out about the Christian Fitness Factory's 310lb stacks for only slightly more. The people at Incredibody were great. They stopped shipment and researched the deal at CFF. I did my own research as well. The 310lb are made by replacing the 20 one-inch 10lb plates (with the added 50lb upgrade to make each stack 210lb), with 15lb plates instead. However, this breaks the Body Solid lifetime warranty because Bodysolid has not researched whether 620lb can be safely distributed if someone were to pull vigorously using the full length of the cable run at all angles and heights. Imagine the law suit if the thing toppled! Another thing to keep in mind is that the cable travel is significantly reduced because the 15lb plates are thicker. A compromise might be to limit the 15lb plates to add some weight but keep the cable travel distance long enough for your individual body type. The ratio is 2:1, meaning that the weight pushed is half of the listed weight. This is usually done to increase cable travel distance since, for a functional trainer, you may need to stretch those cables out further than a one purpose machine. Also, keep in mind that most functional cable exercises use less weight than free weights with the exception of lat pulldowns and cable rows. I have free weights and a half cage with a 1:1 ratio cable system for cable rows and pulldowns with padded supports to keep me locked in when doing heavy weights so this functional trainer really fit the bill for drop sets after free weights or isolating a muscle group because compound exercises, if you compensate for a weak muscle, will continue to enlarge and strengthen the muscles that you are compensating for in a lift, rather than training your weakness. A functional trainer allows you to isolate that weakness and work on it and allow you to then really feel the muscle working when going back to compound, free weight movements.

Great machine at a great price-Instructions need improvement
Love the machine itself, quiet and sturdy no rocking or rolling on it. Operates very smoothly. The downside is all of the bolts did not come with it so had to go down to the hardware store and get what I needed approx. 8 aditonal bolts. The main issue I had besides the missing bolts was one of the pulleys had to be replaced. I keep extra pulleys because every piece of weight equipment I have in my home gym is BodySolid. and some of it is approx 20 years old so pulleys wear out (usually not after 6 days). I didn't call them and complain just replaced it. Overall I have to say I am still a Body-Solid fan
