An amazing go-to headphones.
These have been my go-to headphones for years. They are very comfortable, produce high-quality sound, and are durable. They slip inside the ear and fit well without causing me to be annoyed by something being inside my ear. It almost feels like they aren't even there most of the time. This also makes it easy to take it, which is great for when I am constantly on the move and for safety. There is no chance of that experience of having your earbuds ripped out and causing immense pain because they were so tight.

Really nice and highly compatablile
These buds just play well in everything I own. I've got Edifer, Koss, JVC, Sennheiser, Sony, Phillips, and who knows what else. Only the Sennheisers compare with these when compatibility is figured into the equation. If you impedance match you buds and headphones to your electronics as do I then you will end up with many sets. Trying to find a happy medium where the sound is no muffled or volume clipped on one device or just plain bad on another while working on your favorite player is a challenge. These Panasonic buds work quite nicely on them all and I mean all. I am particular about buds and phones and I was honestly quite surprised by the quality and sonic performance. Very surprised. Like I do on all my buds, I put foam cushions on them to keep 'em in my fat ears. L and R are easily distinguished but not necessary as these are bilaterally symmetrical. As opposed to most every other vendor, they come in an easily opened package marked for recycling and with minimal content. Low cost, great compatibility, sonically outstanding (to my ears, anyways), minimal recyclable packaging...these are just great and for less than $20 you get far more performance than many are able to offer for a lot more $$.

Decent sound, quite comfortable.
I purchased three different brands of earbuds at the same time - the bulk disposable earbuds by Maeline, as well as Panasonic RP-HV096-K, and Edifier H180 HiFi. The Maeline are definitely cheap and your expectations should be as much. They are not suitable really suitable for music at all, in my opinion. However, I feel like they are suitable for audiobooks, classroom, talk radio, podcasts, etc. I plan to use them for listening to audio books while I work with no fear if I snag them and damage them, especially given the price. The Panasonic were a good compromise for lower price with OK sound. I recommend them if you want something decent but still fairly inexpensive. The stem for the Panasonic are slightly off-center, which I found quite comfortable for me. The Edifier were excellent for all range of music in my collection, I highly recommend them if you want something for the discerning individual, but still under $20 USD. The Maeline and the Panasonic did NOT come with foam covers if you prefer that, but the run of the mill cheap foam covers fit them really well. I went with the Sunmns 48 pack for that and am happy.

My favorite headphones
These (and the older but very much the same model, HV-094) are undoubtedly my favorite headphones of all time. They are tiny, but don't go *in* your ear canal but rather hang on the outer ear (you need to try this to understand if you never tried this type of earphones). This means that: 1. they don't hurt the ear even after a long time, 2. they don't shut off external sounds (which I guess can be a downside in certain environments, but excellent for usage in a usually-quiet home). 3. They simply don't fall out of the ear. They also sound great for my non-audiophile ears. Finally, these earphones are cheap... My 35-year experience with earphones shows me that every wired earphones I ever owned always broke. Usually, it's the cable that goes first and makes the whole set unusable. Even if I get a $100 set after at most a year, the cable becomes useless. These earphones are no exception, and in my experience usually last (with heavy usage!) about a year, but - they are so cheap, you can just get a new one without any regrets. These earphones are so good, and so much more convenient than all the common in-ear earphones that everyone else sells, that I'm always afraid Panasonic stops making these, so I actually keep a stockpile of these :-) If the earphone apocalypse comes around, I'm covered.

Decent sound for the price - flimsy cord
I've been looking for a backup for my old Sony E804 classic earbuds. I ordered one dollar buds from across the sea on Ebay - 3 of them, one acceptable and a good deal for the price, two were very low on volume and I tossed 'em out. I ordered Panasonic 096 classic and HJE125 in ear - 096 is better than the old Sony in sound quality with better bass, HJE125 is not as good as either with less bass . I just got old stock Panasonic HV21 from Ebay for 7 bucks - turns out they have the best sound of the bunch. All the Panasonics have flimsier cords than the old Sony. In the pic I posted the Sony is next to the HV21 in the case, then the 096 & HJE125, and the generic at the top.

Excellent Condition
I love the old fashion ear phones, perfectly and sounds are so good too.

Can't recommend
Never really worked well. It sounded like one of the speakers were partially blown already. Not very comfortable fitting either.

Incorrect description, low quality sound
Quote: "If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals"... "change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ear".The earbuds don't come with any tips attached and no additional tips are supplied.Quote: "soft earbuds".Incorrect. Just hard plastic. No soft tips are attached.Quotes: "providing a better bass", "clear, rich bass"We all know that music reproduction quality is subjective, but in my opinion there's no bass whatsoever, certainly not "clear, rich bass".On top of all that - low volume and tinny sound.Other Panasonic earbuds in the same price range are much better.
