Good size hammer, perfect for jobs around the house.
Great size hammer, not too heavy and perfect for regular DIY jobs around the house. The shaft is a good length and made from Hickory, very securely heald in place and the head is finished with grey tool paint. I used it for a wood floor laying project and it was perfect for the job.

Good piece of kit
Excellent quality, hard to find joiners hammer. Quick early delivery. Ex professional plumber so have an idea how good it should be. I must admit I have not used it yet. But you can usually tell by the "feel" of it, and it "feels" okay.

Warrington style hammer.
Beautiful traditional joiner's hammer. One side for larger nails, the other for tapping 1' or less. Easy to get them started and then switch around if needed. Wedge side is also good for tapping brads into wood frames to keep glass in: just slide wedge gently along glass onto tack/brad/nail head. Use lighter weight hammer for smaller nails. Great hammer for small household jobs like picture frame hooks.Great hickory handle: the best. Rub some linseed oil on with a rag now and again and it will last more than a hundred years. I still have my grandfather's for 1887! Every time you use it, you'll be happy.

Perfect for finish woodworking
An excellent little hammer, hard to find one anywhere, and I did look. The face is slightly crowned, as any good woodworking hammer would be (but most of them out there aren't) to make sure that you only strike the nail and not leave a round mouse (dent) on the face of your work. The cross peen is designed for starting finish nails without whacking your fingers, I'm still getting used to it but I really like it. I have the 12oz version.

handle is twisted and slants to the right.
I would have attached a picture, but the curve and slant of the handle is difficult to notice in the handle. I would simply send this one back and request a replacement, but it was shipped overseas. The is awkwardly shaped to the point I may remove the the head and replace the handle with one purchased from a local hardware store. The head of hammer seems decent. The handle is just cumbersome.
