Upgrade Your Apple TAGS
I’m really impressed with the Elevation Lab AirTag 10-Year Extended Battery Case. It feels well constructed right out of the box, with a tough, solid build that inspires confidence for long-term use on valuables like vehicles, luggage, tool boxes, backpacks, and gear bags. Setup is straightforward: remove the AirTag’s original battery and metal door, place it on the contact, add two AA batteries, and screw the case together with the included hex wrench. Once assembled, it feels secure, rugged, and ready for real-world use. The best part is the peace of mind. Instead of worrying about an AirTag battery dying after about a year, this case gives you dramatically more battery capacity by using AA batteries, making it ideal for items you want to track for the long haul. The IP69 waterproof design and fiber-reinforced construction make it feel dependable in tough environments, while the discreet shape keeps it from looking like a typical AirTag holder. Overall, it’s simple, durable, practical, and honestly just awesome—a smart upgrade for anyone who wants their AirTag to last longer and work harder.

I wish I found these a long time ago
I didn’t see a lot of reviews for this product so I thought I’d give it the review it deserves. June 15, 2025: Batteries are set to expire December 2050. Expected run time, without battery replacement, is 10 years, per the description. Honestly I would be happy just to not have to replace the batteries every 6-12 months which was my selling point. Yes, the device is larger than expected if you cannot gauge it from the product photos. AA batteries are not small when you want something combined to an Apple AirTag with a waterproof housing. If you want something that will be extremely reliable, than this is it. But if you want something more discrete, they sell IPXX rated, magnetic/adhesive cases that are small. 4 units for $30 is a good price for the quality of the product. The rubber seals look extremely premium. They remind me of the rubber seals we had on U.S. Navy vessels for water tight integrity on door and latches. The grooves on the lid are nice and smooth, which in turn won’t damage the gasket seal. The plastic feels and looks premium as well. There are no injection mold lines/creases. There is an injection scar on the side of each assembly. The thing you’re looking for is uniformity of the plastic. No ripples, waves, and looks and feels smooth and uniform, that’s a major sign of excellent quality. That is 5/5 Stars. I like the fact that all the screws and the allen key is in one bag. I don’t want to have to disassemble it and then reassemble it. Assembling is extremely easy and absolutely perfect. Using allen screws is ideal from an engineering perspective. You get better and balanced leverage when creating the seal on the lid. It’s easy to remove anything. Functionally and practically: I put this in my carry on luggage. I used double sided adhesive strips to permanently place it. I don’t want it rolling around. I have another in my backpack which I intend to use adhesive velcro to hide it. The overall weight and dimensions, when fully installed, is nothing noticeable. It’s like holding a standard Snicker’s bar in your hand. If you’re on the fence about it, go to the gas station and that’s what you’re buying in size, just a little thinner and less healthy. Utilization: Works exactly as normal. It does not dilute the sound when you active the speaker. Using the search function with the distance and compass in FindMy works normally without fault. I haven’t tried the waterproof function, but considering the build, material, and quality, I would have unwavering faith this would not fail either. We’re not taking this thing to Titanic level depths, but I think if this thing fell into a 10 foot pool, was placed at the bottom, it would still go to the surface and end up as a floater. Conclusion: I wished I found these a long time ago. I could have saved so much money. This is a great long term investment. If they could make a line up of different versions and sizes, it would be phenomenal. I have over a dozen AirTags for different uses and purposes. I have a lot of them for my Milwaukee Packouts and this is an incredible device for what I need. Protecting your investments is critical. There are some compromises you might need to make, but having something last potentially for a decade for $10 ($7.50 for case and $2.50 for batteries) is priceless.

A must have for long term placement
This is one purchase I was very pleased to make. I have several air tags in all my cars and on my keys and some other personal items. The one thing I've noticed that if you place them in a vehicle ( like the trunk of the car ) it dies within 6 - 8 months. This extender will insure that I don't have to replace the ones in my vehicles for many years to come. The case is well made strong and durable. Each unit comes with 4 Stainless Steel screws along with a Alan Key wrench. ( they also give you 2 extra screws ) 1.Weight - Each unit weighs approx. 3.45 oz fully loaded ( hefty ) 2. It has a rubber gasket to insure no moisture or water can get in. The 4 screws insure a tight fit. 3 The battery feed is a constant 3.6 volts. Would recommend using non rechargeable lithium AA batteries for long term use in various weather conditions 4. It maintains the FULL functionality of the Air Tag for locating and playing the find me sound 5. Offers better protection of the Air Tag for repelling moisture and water if it gets wet 6. The case is made of a strong plastic and the screws are threaded into metal threaded inserts allowing for reuse time over time. Cons - a bit pricey at $33.97 for two I bought them on black Friday for $23.98 ( so wait for the sale days ) I will be buying more.

Stop Changing Expensive Coin Batteries!
This is an excellent solution for someone with AirTags stashed all over the place! It got really old doing the rounds of changing the batteries in the AirTags for all my camera equipment and luggage. Batteries are supposed to last "up to" a year, but I'm typically seeing just 6 - 9 months on average. Enter the Elevation Labs battery pack. This device promises a 10-year battery life for your AirTags for just the cost of a pair of AA batteries (plus the device, of course). I don't know yet if I'll get the full 10 years, but saving me the trouble of disassembling my gear every few months is well worth the gamble. These are very easy to assemble: just remove the backing off your AirTag, remove the coin battery, and install the main unit directly into the battery pack, add a couple AA batteries, and seal it up for 10 years with the included screws and Allen wrench. Tip: use the "long shelf life" alkaline batteries, as a minimum. For even longer life (and to reduce the risk of batteries leaking or corroding over time), upgrade to "lithium" batteries. I ordered extras of these (the 2-pack gives a good discounted price) and installed them deep inside my luggage and backpack where they will be hard for a thief to find and impossible to get lost. Bonus: they are the exact dimension of the space between the two legs of my luggage handle, so fit perfectly inside the bag. With a little 2-sided tape, or one of the install kits offered by Elevation Lab, and these are "in there for good"! So far, I give these guys full marks for a well-designed and easy to use device that has the potential to make a huge difference down the road. I'll check back in after 5- and 10 years to let you know if they're still doing the job, LOL.

Great AirTag accessory. Caution: Using Lithium batteries is not TSA compliant for checked baggage.
This is a great idea to minimizing the problem of the AirTag running out of power at an inconvenient time. It is a little bigger than I had anticipated and I wish it had a feature to attach a strap to it. As an item of interest, by TSA rules, Elevated Lab's website states you CANNOT use Lithium batteries if you are going to use in checked baggage and you should use alkaline batteries. Alkaline batteries might last 5-6 years instead of 10, so it is still more convenient than CR2032 batteries.

Fantastic!
These are great! I put one in my tailgate and was able to recover it after it got stolen. Make sure you don't use leak-prone alkaline batteries. I use Energizer lithium like they recommend and haven't had any issues. Wish I had known about these sooner!

Amazing and job well done by Elevation Labs.
Well, I decided to try these out. What I should say, is I looked at plenty of YouTube videos that depicted this as quite a high quality product. I can say now after handling it and setting it up, it is just that. The materials Elevation Labs chose to build this are all premium. I couldn’t find any obvious compromise. The housing feels to be of a premium plastic (yes, there are variations in plastic quality). The innards, design and the fitment of the Air Tag, are all very good. I used the recommended Energizer Lithium AA’s. I double checked the batteries with a multi meter to make sure they were at full voltage. Then put it all together. The Allen screws seated well and although I won’t water test it, plenty of YouTube reviewers have. I’m confident whether you need some tough weather sealing, or dust protection, this housing will keep the insides brand new looking for years. We will see how long they last. My thinking is, I may check the batteries in five years if I haven’t already changed it to an Air Tag 2 or 3. The cons; price. I think these should be be less expensive. I know manufacturing isn’t cheap and I’m not going to pretend to guess on Elevation Lab’s point margins on this product, but they can charge nearly whatever they want as there isn’t much competition right now. I’d like to see these sell for about $15 bucks CDN each in a two pack rather than the $24 each I paid in a two pack. The size is kind of large. But honestly, there’s allot of room needed inside this device for what’s going. I’d rather have it larger and better quality than smaller and not, if that was the choice Mounting options. Well, there aren’t any that come with it. But it’s not hard to add two sided tape, Velcro or a magnetic attachment to secure this just about anywhere a space permits. I would recommend though, if you end up handling the unit allot, say using it from bag to bag, consider installing some grip tape the outside. The housing is somewhat slippery in my opinion. Recommended.
