Works as it should! App is generic
I read the reviews before purchasing - but there are a few things you will need to do before thinking a smart litter box is the way. We’ve had our fair share of cats and rescued/fostered a few kittens. If your cat(s) like to pee up against the litter box and or barely getting their derrière into the box this is not going to work for you. We used to have a cat that really only a dome/or top entrance litter box worked because he couldn’t be bothered. I would test with a cheap box (without the tall sides) if they can keep all their kitty fluids in the box then you should be good to go. The litter does get in between the dome and base but honestly it’s nothing to vacuum out once or twice a week. But if your cat likes to pee on the edge or OUT I can see how you can get a NASTY mess. The app sucks butt as set up goes - there isn’t a lot if any instructions on how to set it up. I couldn’t find the litterbox to do it manually because my litter box wasn’t connecting/registering. I did just google “smart cat litterbox setup smart app” and a few videos popped up. The actual app is pretty generic and I’m trying to figure out how to go between cats (if it even does that) the weight is given in grams (as of right now I’m not sure if you can change) I honestly check the bag every other day to see how full it is and it’s not hard to change. I can’t imagine leaving it for 7-10 days thinking it will be fine. That’s for one cat. You will need to divide the amount of days by number of cats you have. We have 3 cats so I need to change the bag every 2-3 days. If the bag gets full it’s not going to work…. Surprise surprise. (Some of the reviews on here with a full bag of waste complaining it got full too quick before the 7 days and doesn’t pick up what’s in there now) 👀 Got this one on sale - I can’t imagine spending $300+ on a litter box..

HORRIBLE PRODUCT
This thing is the worst investment I’ve made in quite a while. First, it’s not that complicated to set up, but to do so, you have to download a foreign app that will instruct you using an American voiceover to a video of an Asian lady setting it up. Second, small tabs on the a piece of plastic hold the bag secured to the emptying port - ours broke within the first month so we had to use a paper clip to keep it attached. Even when filling the litter to the correct level, when the machine spins to level it out, it disposes of lots of clean litter. This does remove the need to scoop every day, but you’ll have to take the entire thing apart and clean it every two weeks at the longest to maintain it with having more than one cat (we have two) and even when you deep clean it, it’s a pain. You have to use high pressure water on lots of the areas unless you want to use a wash cloth or paper towel and scrub areas completely. There’s a barrier grate inside that is suppose to allow litter in but keep clumps out, and that’s ineffective. Small pieces still get in and collect in a corner that’s not accessible without removing four Phillips head screws. If you do not do this when you deep clean it, feces become caked up and you will have the constant ammonia smell like we did. The machine itself is horrible at keeping waste hidden and contained - there is a line around the entire outside where waste that has dripped out gets rolled every time the machine scoops the litter, leaving and replenishing a constant yellowish brown line around the outside of the unit. Disconnecting it, hosing it down, removing the grate, letting it dry for hours (with no great way for it to do so, because it’s contained and not open for airflow) wiping down the base, reassembling it, then adding new litter just to have some of said new litter go directly into the waste bag is not worth it. We used this thing for a year before I’d had enough. I considered trying to sell it, but I honestly don’t want anyone else to have to deal with this awful product. So it went right into the garbage can. I wouldn’t suggest purchasing this at all. It would be more affective to just burn $300 and keep your old litter boxes. I won’t even go into the amount of money you’ll spend on more litter, replacement bags, and the process of trying to introduce your cat to this new litter box as they’re skeptical at first and may pee in your house because they’re uncomfortable with it for the first month. You can see the things I’ve mentioned in this review in my photos.

Great automatic litter box
Works great, very easy to change the bag and clean the basin. My cat loves it and has pleanty of room in it. Love that you can set it on a timer for a certain time every day or go in and clean it whenever on the app.

It was great for the first couple days, but quickly started showing issues.
The first issue is that it started cleaning and deodorizing randomly numerous times throughout the day when it was neither used by the cat nor scheduled in the app. The first time I changed the bad the tab that holds the plastic hoop in place over the bag broke on the left side. The second bag change the front hinge on the bag door popped and stopped closing properly and the other tab broke off. It does not do a good job cleaning the litter, at all. I tried multiple different scoopable liters which are recommended by the manufacturer and ran into the same issue with each. When the cat urinates the urine travels into the litter which clumps as it soaks downward as well as outward. Frequently the size of the clump of litter is too large to fit inside the cleaning chute. Opening and cleaning the drum is a mess. In fact the entire thing is a mess, one of the large clumps of litter was thrown out of the opening onto the mat in front of the box when it didn't fit into the chute. The drum is fairly loud when it rotates and rotates extremely slowly. I can understand the drum rotating slowly from a safety perspective but this thing is SLOWWWWWWW and very squeaky. It also shut itself off at some point last night leaving litter clumped into it that had to be cleaned out by hand. Requesting a refund and purchasing a different smart litterbox.

Not worth it for us
App is hard to use. Set up was not easy because the directions were very unclear. And I have to reset up the app everything the power goes out. Could be larger my small cat barely fits inside. Litter falls out the front when it rotates during the clean function. Quiet but not practical.

Don't listen this thing can be great!
I was hesitant to get this because of the reviews, but I really wasn't trying to spend $700 on a litter robot. Mine has been doing well and working totally fine! My cat loved it right away and it's WAY easier than scooping litter daily. It can be a bit of a pain to clean, but I started just emptying the litter (it has a setting) and using clorox wipes and my cat has been fine with that. I do have to vacuum the litter that eventually gets stuck underneath but it's like a once every 1.5 months type of thing and I've had it for over 6 months now.

Great Idea, Poor Design, Hard to Clean Properly
These litter boxes are great when they work, but unfortunately they are very poorly constructed. The biggest issue is the design of the base. The electronic components are openly exposed, and there are gaps large enough for litter to easily make its way inside. Over time, that means the base can become crusted with used litter, which creates an obvious sanitary issue and makes the unit very difficult to clean properly. This would be a much better product if the electronics were removable or better sealed off so the unit could actually be cleaned the way a litter box needs to be cleaned. I originally loved these so much that I bought two of them. Unfortunately, after discovering how poorly they were designed, I replaced both units after only about six months with a different model that does not have the same issues.
