Great quality and very sturdy! The Baby Trend Hybrid 3-in-1 Booster Seat was easy to install and feels safe and secure. My child seems very comfortable on long rides, and the seat padding provides great support. I also love that it grows with the child definitely a great value for the price. Highly recommend for parents looking for safety and comfort in one seat!

Wow, this carseat is great! We had to get a new carset for our 3 year old and she loves this one. We also love that it grows with her and we do not have to keep buying something new when she grows. Easy to install and it sits perfectly in our Equinox Only pain was actually being able to adjust the straps. After a little bit of a fight I figured it out.

Nice simple carseat! First & foremost, I wanted a plain carseat that didn't cost a fortune, and this fit the bill. It has options for both traditional buckles & the LATCH system. We've only used it with buckles, but it comes with clear diagrams for both. The buckle can be slightly annoying to get through the back, since the buckle openings in the plastic aren't really big enough for a hand, but it's easy to pop one corner of the cover off for access, then back on. There are a few things that could be smoother (of course, in the lowest-priced one to be found), but nothing unworkable, and really, not even enough to dock stars. The LATCH straps get in the way a bit when moving the seat between vehicles, but not bad, and I believe they're removeable. (the seat is out in the car, so I can't check - obviously it hasn't bothered us enough to even check) The lower (3-way) connection on the 5-point harness is VERY stiff, & has to be wiggled just right, while pushing the stiff button, to come loose, but that could be more a benefit than anything, because no young child will be unbuckling while driving. The padding is fairly thin for long road trips, but I just folded up a thick piece of fabric smoothly under the seat, and the little one has seemed fine since. On the positive side, It is straightforward to use, without a bunch of unnecessary stuff. It is easy & simple to adjust. The armrests are the right size to be useful without getting in the way. And I LOVE the cup holders!! Again, they don't get in the way, or stick out enough to risk breaking, but they're always right there when needed - which is all the time! There's plenty of room between them for a child's legs, and the padding just covers the inside edge so it doesn't dig in if they spread their legs apart, but they still don't stick outside the general carseat profile. Overall, I have been very happy with this carseat at this price, and am grateful to Baby Trend for (again!) providing a lower-cost, plain, simple alternative to budget-gouging necessities.

Tethering straps are a bit of a challenge. They don't fit right and can't be tightened so you need to use the car seat belt whether you want to or not. Other than that great car seat! Easy to assemble, though that seems a strong word for getting everything lined up. I love that the extra padding is reversible. Other reviews mentioned the straps for the harness are a little short. This does seem to be the case.

I actually am super pleased with this car seat. I let my 4 year old pick out which one he wanted from a preselected list I put together. This one accidentally came up as I would looking at some more common name brands that are very trusted. Graco, Nuna, Saftey 1st, and Evenflo. I have never heard of Baby Trend until now. My son was dead set on this one even though it was a new brand to me the reviews were great so I got it to test out and fell in love with it. It’s awesome, sturdy, stable, well made, easy to use and adjust. I’m very impressed.

Comfy, quality, safety is #1 for our granddaughter ! Great price! Super easy for my son in law to put it together in our SUV! Our 2 years old granddaughter will love it! Adjustments simple and easy to latch! Size perfect.

Bought 2 easy to clean. And nice to just change as they get bigger

I want to warn parents about this chair to prevent them from experiencing the same issues I faced. I had a good experience with the previous version of this chair, so I decided to buy this one. However, it was a mistake. The chair is cute, but the straps are too short for practical use. I contacted the manufacturer today, January 6th, 2026, to report the problem. I told them I purchased this chair in October 2025 and asked if they have replacement straps for this model. They responded that they do not. I explained that the chair should last the kids more than just 3 or 4 months, so I asked if they would send a replacement strap. They said no, because there's no replacement strap for this model, and that they would only troubleshoot the issue. I asked what troubleshooting entails, and they explained that it involves documenting the problem on their end. The short strap makes it difficult for me to tighten my three-year-old properly. She cannot even use the car seat if she wears a sweater or a jacket because there are no straps left to pull. Stay away from this chair—you're wasting your money because it won't last, and the manufacturer won't do anything about it.
