Bought this to season my new Blackstone flattop grill and it’s amazing! I made some steaks, chicken and hotdogs for the dogs and it gave everything an amazing flavor. I’ll never use anything else. This stuff is great. A little pricy but well worth it.

Where to begin? This wagyu tallow adds a decadently rich but subtle flavor to any food you cook it with. Emphasis on the subtle. It won’t absolutely overpower your dishes, but at the same time does just enough to take your food to the next level.The smoke point is quite high at around 420F, so it worked well for most of my high heat cooking. Make sure not to cook above this temperature though, otherwise you’ll get a lot of smoke quickly. So, if you want to use this to sear your steaks, I’d instead recommend using it as a final baste in place of butter (at a slightly lower heat). I’ve also loved it for sautéing vegetables, baking potato wedges, and scrambling eggs. I’m excited to try making some old school thin-sliced tallow French fries as that’s apparently where it shines the most. Really, the key is to give the tallow enough time to absorb into what you’re cooking, and it’ll provide that subtle flavor enhancement that you want. Now as good as this tallow has been for me, the best thing about it is the price. Unless you’re willing to buy pounds at a time, you just CANNOT beat this price. I’m cooking with it almost daily and I’ve barely put a dent in my jar. I expect I won’t need to reorder for at least another month or two. There are a few other good tallows on Amazon but their pricing is much higher and none of them have this rich wagyu flavor.This tallow is a no-brainer buy for me moving forward!

It made a big difference. Steaks came out rich, flavorful, and restaurant-quality. Will definitely keep this stocked in our kitchen!

Great flavor. I used for searing sousvide steaks, slathered my brisket before wrapping, and shallow frying potatoes. Great beefy flavor! Will purchase again!

I agree with many of the other reviews. The tallow is very nice. I've used other tallows so I've been using tallow for a couple of years. This one gives a nice flavor to the food (including things like eggs and sauteed onions). When you smell it in the jar, there is a slight beefy smell, but that doesn't give the food a beefy taste at all.It is a runny tallow, which I've never had. The one drawback is the container. Many of the reviews complained about the container leaking, but I thought that was referring to the larger plastic container, which doesn't appear to be available anymore. So I thought there wouldn't be a problem with the glass jar.First issue is that there is NO sea on the jarl. No inner seal and no outer seal. It comes wrapped in bubble wrap encased in protective cardboard, which is taped with cellophane tape. While this is coming from Amazon's warehouse, it would still be nice to have at least one seal on the jar itself to know it hasn't been tampered with.Second issue is that because this is a runny tallow, it gets on the rim of the jar and inside of the lid, so no matter how much you wipe the rim of the jar and inside of the lid, the tallow gets all over and the lid sticks and is hard to open. And of course, since it's tallow, the jar and lid get a little greasy and it's hard to grip when opening the lid.I've tried wiping the outside of the jar, but it's still hard to get a grip on it. And every time I use it, I have to wipe the rim of the jar and the lid because the tallow leaks. (Even upright in a cabinet, it somehow gets on the rim of the jar after I wipe it!)So, I love the tallow but the packaging needs work. I may end up transferring it to an empty mason jar and see if that helps.

Love this stuff. Have purchased several times and will continue to. I just bought a different kind from the store and not the same. Eggs stick to my stainless steel pans. Didn’t happen with this tallow. Won’t happen again. Highly recommend. Excellent quality that I can trust.

Delicious! I use this to make grilled cheeses (gives them an amazing flavor--like a really good mom & pop diner from the 1970s) and also to fry Impossible Burger to make it taste more like beef (I prefer impossible burger over hamburger for reasons other than vegetarianism.) It isn't cheap, but it's very reasonably priced considering the quality and aroma. This is the real deal.

Great alternative to cooking with oils that have aren't healthy. A cleaner oil and with a high temperature cook level.
