Messy, pretty doll, giminck is unappealing
I understand that MGA wants to appeal to the younger audience, hence why they removed articulation in various places (most notably the hands). I'm also not a fan of the plastic pieces of clothing, just because, and there is no doll stand? I mean I get it, this is a doll to play with, but all of the other releases (except the rainbow high littles) have come with a stand. Was putting in the resin gimmick too much?I'm an adult collector, so I display these dolls, I'm upset about this.I think this Violet doll is gorgeous, but what upsets me the most is that the accessories that she comes with need to have this resin in it to look perfect...Maybe I'm not good at this, but I tried, and it's just too messy. If a child were to do this, it would be a disaster. They would need parental supervision, no, much more, the parents would have to help. You need to have steady hands and know what you are doing. I'm not a fan of the resin thing as a whole.The doll without the resin is, okay. It does resemble her Series 1 look a lot...but I get that it's Violet's style..Maybe if you were to sell the dolls just as is without all the arts and crafts stuff, it could be a hit for me. Love you Rainbow High, but this wasn't a hit for me.

RH reboot continues to be a disappointment
I ordered this doll feeling hopefully that despite the gimmick, the doll herself would still be up to the standards that we've come to expect from Rainbow High. Sadly, the brand has continued to decline. Plastic clothing pieces on a $25 doll are frankly unacceptable, in my opinion. Aside from the plastic clip-on tank top (the heart piece, fyi), the rest of her outfit is bland and uninspired. My doll came with lip paint that looks messy and unsealed. I don't see why I'd take the time to do the resin craft when the accessories are for a doll that I guess I'll keep but will likely forget about.

Worst release yet
These dolls are worse than the budget line. They look cheap, lost wrist articulation. Several of the clothing items are hard plastic.
