Digital Painting in Photoshop: Industry Techniques for Beginners: A comprehensive introduction to techniques and approaches

This book arrived today, I have many of this publishers books, and they never disappoint. I've haven't left a review on their books before, due to the fact that many people have, for the other books, and whilst they are excellent books, they haven't impacted myself and my art as much as this one will. Within 20 mins of ready the first chapter, I opened one of my digital art pieces and tried a few things out, and I can say that I will do this to every piece I produce from now on. The after production alterations this book has taught me so far, made a huge improvement. I'm an experienced photoshop artist, but this has really helped. Do not hesitate on this book, it will improve and help you a immensely. Great book, one of the best in my collection, thank you.

I really enjoy messing around in photoshop, but I deceided I wanted to learn digital painting.This book gives you several projects like a fantasy landscape, alien crash site and a steampunk explorer.A couple projects to follow along with from A to Z while giving you all sorts of tips on brushes, channels, blending modes, all the information you need for your digital painting project.

I found this a very useful introduction to painting in photoshop.

It's okay. Most of the book was focussed on photo manipulation rather than actual painting from scratch which is what I wanted to learn. Ended up returning it for this reason.

Excellent book for instruction in Digital Painting. So many books just show you look what I did for $30.00 and give no instruction on how to do it. This book is totally different.

For a beginner digital artist like myself, this book is great, I can already see my art in photoshop improving along with my efficiency. Highly recommend

for those artists who are just learning Photoshop <3 , great book

As an artist learning photoshop, I totally am amazed at the content of this book. It has a great amount of instructions, tips, and visuals that I find engaging to learn to. Problem is, the book came with its top and bottom outer edges (not spine) crumpled. It's not only crumpled on the cover, but also on the inside pages. Looks like it hit the wall or floor hard once or twice. Wondering now if I should return for a replacement but hesitating since I want to start reading it already. I would have given it 5 stars if the book arrived in better condition.
