I absolutely love hinoki cypress. In fact I'm wearing a hinoki cologne as I type this, and used two different hinoki charcoal soaps in the shower this morning. This shampoo makes my hair feels wonderful, and was a dramatic upgrade from the American Crew shampoo I had relied on for many years. While the hinoki scent is lost in other perfumes, I find the smell very pleasant and even therapeutic. Highly recommend if you're interested in a Japanese shampoo, but not if you're expecting it to smell strongly of hinoki. Still an excellent shampoo in my book.
