Great design, even better customer service
Love the product, especially the stand-off mounting. Keeps me from raking the knee of my Pfanner pants with the tip of my saw. But even better is the Notch/Sherrill Tree customer service. After 1'st full day of work with the Talon, top rubber strap had broken. Notch sent me a complementary replacement. Product has a lifetime warranty, fyi.

Purpose built, specialty product
Summary: for years, I just strapped my saw (various lengths) to my belt, and away I sent. After watch a few professional in action; there are two alternate carry methods; lower leg, or cross draw (for right handed person, carried on left hip). This offering by Notch facilitates the lower leg carry, but can also be used for cross draw for shorter (10-inch) saws. Conclusion: At $40, this is a little spendy, so rating this 4-stars (cost, specialty).

Somewhat
Well made product overall. Instructions could use some work. The velcro is very aggressive and difficult to release- when it does release, the loop side of the straps forms a fuzz that in time will likely not adhere very well to the hook side of the strap.Need to figure a way to keep the straps and scabbard from moving down my leg when pushing the saw back down in place.
