CQ6, CQ6! A dipole for 6m
You'll need to tune this before using it. It's a bit fiddly and reiterative, and you'll need a flat-blade screwdriver. I'd recommend an antenna analyser like the SARK100, and you'll need the antenna at least 3m from the ground to obtain a good SWR. I managed 1.02:1 @ 49 Ohms, which is as good as it gets. I'm planning to use it /P, but it may well end up in the loft. Would it surprise you to know it's about 3m long when adjusted? I recommend wrapping your co-ax 7 times through an FT140-43 torroid to form a choke, or you'll have RF coming back down the braid. Do this before fitting the PL259! I'm not sure how well this will resist storm force winds. Now for the sporadic E...

Outstanding value
First outing working portable on a tripod I made 11 qso's furthest was West coast stateside on 25w conditions were good. Used it on VHF field day worked perfectly. Easy to assemble with a 1-1 SWR, thinking of another one for a fixed QTH antenna,
