Dasco Pro G334 Mason Chisel, 2-1/4-Inch

I immediately cut the yellow handle off with a razor blade. I dont like them. After that fact, the chisel itself is very solid and sturdy. Its also pre sharpened enough to be used right out if the package. Would buy over and over again. My only small complaint is the blue paint all over it. When struck with a hammer it wears off very fast so why even add it in the first place?

This worked wonders. I used this chisel to break/pull up all the tile in my bathroom and it took about 90 minutes. The hand protector was sturdy as a missed a few swings with the 3 lb sledge and would have really done some damage to my hand without it.Highly recommend!

Great for small projects ... felt comfort and sturdy in the hand. I do appreciate the hand guard it was one of the things I was looking for when buy a chisel.

The chisel itself is good quality and the handguard is a great feature but the execution is off. The guard is not secured to the chisel so it slides upward with each strike. It constantly needs to be tapped back down the shaft of the chisel. It annoyed me on a weekend project, I could not imagine if you planned to use it daily.

Very nice chisel! I've trimmed a dozen or so flagstones since I got this and it's easy to use and stays sharp for along time. The hand guard is awesome! And the bright yellow color makes it easy to find in the clutter of a construction site.

Handle has a smear of grease and the blade has stone marks (seems to have been used or a demo). Not really a big deal as it will look “very used” tomorrow when I am done with it.

I had an awkward brick shelf sticking out of a brick wall I wanted to get rid of so I could install a cabinet up against the wall and this kid did the trick easy.
