Bright, efficient and well made bulbs
I’ve recently changed out almost every lightbulb across 3 properties in the pursuit of a more energy efficient lifestyle for myself and those close to me, and these are a quality item. The pack of two bulbs come in retail packaging with ample protective packaging. The lightbulbs I chose were rated as 18W LED (200W incandescent equivalents) and 3000 Lumen at 4000K (Cool White). I’ve found many LED bulbs carry an unrealistic conversion where equivalent incandescent energy draw and illumination are concerned, and these follow the trend. I’d compare them to a 150W incandescent bulb (in fact, I did) and I would think they output 2500 lumen rather than 3000. But that’s still substantially more than most of the 1521 rated LED bulbs on the market (that too often output a more realistic 1250 lumen) and these 18W bulbs are still very bright considering the relatively low power draw. The bulbs are slightly lager than average and have a frosted coating. The 4000K LED’s are slightly warmer than other 4000K LED bulbs I have to compare them to, but it’s a far cleaner light compared to a yellow-tint warm white bulb. These look and feel well made and, at £16.99 (at the time of writing this) they’re well priced and significantly cheaper than some of my other similarly rated bulbs.

BIG (137mm) ES, 4000K, frosted, filament-type LED bulbs with incandescent equivalence of over 150W
These bulbs come securely packaged in customised foam inside a box to reliably reduce the risk of breakage in transit. Being 4000K, they are correctly described as ‘cool white’ though that term is increasingly and wrongly used to describe 5500-6500K bulbs. In fluorescent tubes, CFLs and the early years of LEDs, 4000K was always called ‘cool white’ though is now often described as ‘natural white’. 6000K bulbs were always called ‘daylight white’. May be better to ditch the names and just use the degrees Kelvin. I like 4000K lighting. They are filament-type LEDs, so like the corn-on-the-cob type, provide 360 degree illumination without any obstruction from plastic parts. Filament LEDs tend to have a slightly shorter life than the more normal diode types but not a problem and in my opinion are overall preferable, especially where the bulb is visible. The size of these bulbs could be a problem in some fittings, especially if using an ES/BC adapter. This bulb does not seem to be available with a B22 bayonet connector. I thought it would be ideal for the lamp used by an elderly relative for reading, but it’s too big and sticks out of the top of the shade. I’ve been using one in a windowless bathroom for almost 2 weeks, so not on for long periods but with multiple on-offs and there is no sign of any flickering etc.I checked the wattage and at 247V it was 20.5W rather than the stated 18W. Assuming approximately the same calculated resistance of 2976 ohms (would be a little lower), 18W is what it would be (>17.8W) at 230V. Compared with an old but little used incandescent 150W bulb this bulb is definitely brighter, though the whiter colour may enhance that perception. I’m fairly certain that it’s not equivalent to 200W incandescent but it is very bright! If your light fitting is suitable for a bulb this size and you want the brightness of a 150+W incandescent bulb, then I’d happily recommend. At £8.50 they seem quite expensive but I think the price is fair for a non-standard output bulb. As they’re almost certainly not the stated ‘200W’ and longevity is obviously as yet unknown, I’d give them 4 rather than 5 stars.

Nice attempt at a direct incandescent LED replacement lamp, made from glass.
Arrived as described, as pictured, safe and sound. These bulbs work well and are decently bright for their size – they remind me of the 150w incandescent bulbs you used to be able to buy, especially for commercial applications before they stopped selling them when it comes to their size and general design. The bulb envelope is entirely made from glass with a metal E27 base, they look and behave exactly like a frosted incandescent bulb. They work fine, no issues such as flicker etc.Highly recommended.

Excellent bright bulbs that give good illumination.
These 18 watt LED (200 watt equivalent) LED bulbs have replaced 9 watt (60 watt equivalent) LED bulbs. I think for all these LED replacement bulbs the equivalent wattage is somewhat optimistic. Whilst the 9 watt bulbs were okay I don't think they were quite as bright as a 60 watt tungsten bulb. These 18 watt bulbs are substantially brighter and much better but I'd say they were closer to a 100 watt bulb than 200 watts. That said they are more than bright enough and emit a pleasant warm white light without any flicker. They are non-dimmable but are in standard lamps which do have a built in dimmer. Whilst the dimmer does not have any dimming effect, I have previously used other non-dimmable LED bulbs that have flickered, so these bulbs are fine in that respect. The bulbs have a glass envelope which is translucent all the way down to the base. Unlike others which have a plastic moulding for most of the bottom half, these bulbs illuminate below them too and don't cast a shadow.I'm very pleased with the bulbs and, whilst they are twice the wattage as the ones they replaced, they give out a much better light. I would buy more of them but the other lamps that I have use a small SES (e14) fitting whereas these are larger ES (E27) size.

Perfect for those dark winter days - amazingly bright crisp white light
If these winter months in the UK are getting you down, these Daylight high brightness LED bulbs will definitely help. The bulbs have slightly longer necks than conventional 240V LED light bulbs but should fit most lampshades and even angle desk-lamps with E27 fittings.Being LED they run much cooler than incandescent, consume only 18W yet deliver the equivalent light output of a 200W incandescent bulb. I chose daylight white and frosted glass - the 360 degree beam angle produces a diffuse crisp clean white light over a wide angle. You get 2 bulbs in the box so I’ve used one as a bright desk lamp in a conventional angle poise, the other for illuminating our attic.Even after lengthy operation in a metal angle poise the shade and bulb remained fairly cool. In summary brilliant light output with low energy consumption and a rated 15,000 hrs lifespan. What isn’t there to like.

Potente ma occhio all'ingombro
