Takes A Beating
I really put this VTX through the ringer. It works well. My spektrum transmitter signal went out before my video on 600mw. So it works and worked well for me.I got stuck in a tree top for about 2 hours from 9 to 11 am. I got the plane down and the VTX was on and hot but still works clear.I had blue smoke twice and sparks when I poorly crammed all these electronics in a homade and too small fuselage. The VTX still works? And this. My plane topped off my bench and the guts came out with the battery tugging hard on all my planes inards ripping the 6 pin plug off the back. I solder the wires back directly and It came back on...? Whoa. It wont die. Im impressed after expexting worse after reading the reviews. I want to voice my experiance to more accuratly prepare buyers in this super expensive hobby. Ty.

Great bang for the buck!!
I've used AKK products for about 18 months. Ive used the stackable versions as well as this style. Performance is very comparable to a unify or a tramp HV. It competes in price with immersion RC, and is less expensive than TBS. Video clarity is quite good. I always prefer MMCX over ufl for durability. This is a great buy for the money. I will be doing side by side testing against the new RUSH VTX, which looks really good as well.

Bit expensive, but works extremely well.
For the first flight, the VTX worked extremely well, and had great range. Everything is well designed, smartaudio worked immediately, and the screen makes it very easy to choose channel and band. When I first wired the FPV system, I thought that it was broken, as there was a black screen on my googles. Found out that it was a problem with the flight controller, the VTX works well when connected stright to the camera.

Great powerful VTX w Smartaudio
I’ve owned 4 of these there great. 1watt of transmission power is nice, don’t leave it powered on bench very long without airflow you’ll burn it up. Sucker gets hot as hell, I see some have our heatsinks on then with double sided thermal tape. Probably a good idea (remove heat shrink first or cut it just around the pad) but I can’t fit that in my quads w sink plus weight so, just fly!

Powerful
Much better than previous vtx's I've used (akk and other). I don't know if it actually hits 1000mw since I don't have a meter but it must be somewhat close. With omni antennas in a clean RF environment I easily get 1/2 mile of range. I haven't tested to full range as my transmitter won't reach much farther than that.Update: have 3 now, they all work flawlessly after at LEAST a hundred packs running at 1000mw. Will continue to buy this vtx.

Same as Others
I have tried a couple of these on different drones and have never seen a clear picture and found the range to be around 100 yards. I had a lot of motor noise despite adding caps. The only good video I have seen has come from FC/ESC stacks with mated VTX boards.I did find the thickness and sheerness to be outstanding! :?)
