I’m absolutely amazed by the TOSY Magnet Pyramid Stone! This toy is incredibly creative and entertaining—the transformations feel endless, and it’s hard to put down once you start playing with it. The holographic design looks beautiful and makes the shapes even more eye-catching. I also love how smoothly the pieces move and connect. The magnets feel strong and secure, which makes building different creations really satisfying. The product features 243 rare earth magnets and is designed to transform into countless shapes. What surprised me most is that it’s not just fun for kids—adults will enjoy it too. It’s relaxing, engaging, and a great way to encourage creativity and problem-solving. Five stars because right out of the box much fun was had by adults present a the time, however, expecting some grandchildren (that this Magnet Pyramid Stone I Billion Shapes was actually purchased for) might find it a bit frustrating when magnets don't hold and builds must be handled gently and not bumped if one hopes to keep it from falling apart. Also, the stand kept falling apart, but we suspect a little dab of super glue in a couple of tiny corners will take care of that and we didn't want to dock any points for such a wonderfully thought up toy! Very engaging and the few issues would be so easily taken care of with just a little care and a bit of super glue....however not sure in it's present stage I can highly recommend for gift-giving because of the magnets not holding very strongly and the stand that kept falling apart. I hope these issues will be improved upon in the future because this is a wonderful idea and so much fun to do!

I do actually like this set, but I gave it 4 stars because I think the experience would be much better with two sets. It’s pretty expensive, so I only bought one, but a lot of the designs shown seem to require more pieces than you get in a single set. That’s partly on me because I should have checked more carefully, but it was still a little disappointing. I still think it’s a cool product. The magnets feel nice, and the glow-in-the-dark feature works really well. I just wish it either came with more pieces to make it more versatile, or that the price were a little lower. I understand that companies need to make a profit, but this feels a bit overpriced for what you get. Overall, it’s fun and well-made, but if you want to get the most out of it and make more of the designs, I’d recommend buying at least two sets.

Excellent stem/steam aligned toy. Keeps my child entertained and focused for hours. Busy the hands and the mind. Durable, good magnet strength, bright colors and patterns, easy to use & the more you play with it the more you understand the geometry of them. Comes with graphs to follow for building different designs if you need ideas. Easy and preferable to travel with.

So I’m teaching an elementary school STEM class this summer, and I opted for a bunch of these sets of “rare earth magnet” pieces. The cube kind of crumbles apart into magnetic shards which all fit together a certain way when their magnetic points line up. They are not overpowered, so kids of varying ages can use them (the box says 6+). The first thing I noticed was the selling point of 1 billon shapes, which gave me a little chuckle since pixels have been doing that for at least a century. The “Stone” set is shiny metallic holographic themed and comes with a plastic draw-string bag for portability, and the “Glow” set is glow-in-the-dark themed and comes with a UV flashlight which itself also glows so you can find it the dark too. I have noticed that the closer you put light to the glow pieces, the brighter they will glow, potentially enabling you to “write” a few letters in them momentarily. Both sets come with a spinning magnetic trophy stand that has two different shaped ends comes apart in two different ways. Unfortunately the second way they come apart seems unintentional and annoying to have to [repeatedly] put back together, posing a potential loss risk among my students…. and these sets are not cheap! The stands have ball bearings in them though, and on a good note they do spin for a decent amount of time. In conclusion, I think my students will like this and I feel confident that these magnetic shape sets will allow them to build new and interesting designs, perhaps sparking an interest in creativity itself.

IT's okay. Does what it says somewhat adequately, the stands are pretty weak but technically usable. Cool concept, surprisingly great execution, extremely lightweight, plasticky feel, highly questionable durability, bargain-basement materials (or it feels like it, they might be expensive, I have no idea). I bring these things up because: (1) The ultra cheap-feeling (and cheap-appearing, but maybe that's only the holographic glow-in-the-dark version which I bought that looks so bad in person) materials seem too fragile to play with; and (2) for the price, I had assumed the pieces would be of better-than-average quality (or at least comparable) to alternatives in the puzzle/fidget toy category (These feel far too fragile for younger kids, or any pets obviously). For the common sale prices there are name-brand products with magnets that actually grip and materials that feel solid enough to let a kid play with it rather than a display-only item. Even at the discounted ~15 bucks each, it feels way too overpriced for the quality. If this company upgrades their next generation, I will 100% be purchasing it again. Or, slash it down to ~5 bucks so the expectation of quality will be more in-line with the quality. To be clear, not a single piece of this has broken on me or been defective so far, though I have barely touched it. If you want it for a specific shape or display, it will probably be a great purchase.
