This review is for the 'Breathing Necklace, Anxiety Necklace, OM AUM Breathlace, Breathe Yoga Symbol Necklace, Breathing Necklace to Quit Smoking, Silver.'This 'breathing necklace' arrives in a small pale blue cardboard gift box. Within the box there is a black velvet pad for the chain to rest on. Also included is a card with 'how to use' instructions.The chain looks just as it does on the Amazon listing photos. It is made of stainless steel which is durable and it feels smooth to the touch.It has a clasp, but the chain is long enough to go over your head without having to undo it.The idea is to help control breathing in times of stress by inhaling deeply through the nose (without the pendant tube) and then slowly breathing out through the mouth through the pendant tube.I have tried this type of necklace previously and some of the tubes have a bit of resistance to ensure you breathe out slowly, where-as this one feels like a straw (no noticeable resistance). It is still useful as just having it there reminds you what you are supposed to do.Apparently it can also be useful for people giving up smoking, presumably as it feels like a bit like a cigarette!The symbol on the necklace looks a like '30' to me, but it is apparently the 'OM' (A U M) sound which is often used when chanting to bring peace and calm.
