Exactly what I was hoping forAble to extract over 120 gb videos, and pictures often ancient laptop running Windows 7 unable to immediately watch it on my iPhone.Perfect until…..I wanted to upload all the data onto a modern Mac and MacBook doesn’t have the app required to do so.

So grateful for this tool! I’ve been needing something to be able to transfer all my photos from my phone because it’s extremely backed up and I have zero space. Love how compact and easy it is to learn how to use it. Definitely recommend.

First the good news. Install the U-Disk app and you are good to go. Run Backup on the app and it backs up your photos and contacts. I run a computer business with a lot of contacts, and I have a lot of photos. With 512GB of storage, I needed all of it. When it finished, I plugged it into my computer and plugged in my external hard drive, I moved the folder without a hitch.Now what happened. I took the device out of the box and went to plug it into my iPhone, and it would not plug in. Well, simple issue. With my Otter Box on the way the device is designed, and the Otter Box is designed, I had to remove the Otter Box. I have a waterproof Otter Box. Once I took the Otter Box off, it plugged in okay. Looking at other plug-in backup designs, however, it looks like they would have the same issue. So, this may be an issue with all of them.Next, the app started backing up my data and my iPhone after about a couple of minutes was hot to the touch. I kept my iPhone so that it had plenty of air around it. Once the backup stopped. My iPhone cooled down within 30 seconds.Update: (4/24/2025) I purchased (DESOFICON 3 FT iPhone Charging Extension Cable,[MFi Certified] Nylon Braided Lightning Extender Dock Cord for iPhone 14 13 Pro Max 12 11 X XR 8 7 6 Male to Female Cord PassVideo, Data, Audio, OTG) this allows me to attach the external backup device without removing the Otterbox. It cost $6.99. I hope this helps.

Very easy to use .. great instructions .. just download the app it shows and you are ready to go .. very well packaged and instructions are easy to follow

I was skeptical, but so happy with this purchase. the device is sturdy and easy to use, still trying to find the android app. apparently u disk is also a golf app. all in all, very pleased, will buy again.

The “Instruction Manual” has printing that is so tiny it was nearly impossible for me to read, the English used, in my opinion, was sub-standard and not easily understood (they need to use an English speaking editor), the guidance wasn’t adequate for me to actually install this product (ex. It would say “Go to Settings and find …” but I couldn’t figure out where in Settings” to find the connection) and finally in frustration I gave up and returned it. For me, this product was useless.

What an awesome little tool! This device is a game-saver when it comes to backing up photos from your phone to your laptop. It's extremely simple to use—plug it into your phone, and it downloads the app for you! The rest is just navigating to the files you want to backup - photos or contacts and BAM! That's it :)

Not exactly what I wanted in a backup drive. I didn't want to use an app to download/manage my photos; kind of defeats the purpose of my goals which were to use (essentially) a thumb drive to store my overflow of pics. Now I have an app that's also taking up memory space on my phone; see the issue? Oh, yeah, it works fine. I'm not happy with this issue but yeah, it works fine. Pretty disappointed. I could just simply use Dropbox.
