Item delivered with no instructions whatsoever. There is a rotating section which allows you to regulate dosing. I decided to partially open first vent and check chlorine level the following day. The unit was in the water for approximately 12 hours. The hot tub was saturated with chlorine and unusable. Returned for full refund

Husband is very happy, put chlorine tablets in 7 days ago and pool still doesn't need anymore, great if you are going away and unable to maintain your pool.
