When I make a weed pot on the lathe, I need a plastic insert to hold the flowers, be them dried or in need of a water supply. Once you have turned the wooden vase, you drill a hole into the top into which you place once of these tubes. Being plastic means they do not crack if the wood moves or you drop them. Great product

My wife wanted to try these test tubes for flowers as she often just has one or two lovely blooms from the garden to display. You can put individual specimens in the tube with water and seal with a lid, then place securely inside even the slimmest vase or holder. So far so good.But she was disappointed to find that the test tubes have rounded bases, even though the product page shows them standing flat on a surface. They look quite plasticky so are best hidden inside another container. You get 32 pieces all identical which I guess is fine for commercial use, but for homes it would be better to have fewer tubes and a variety of heights and widths.
