Brilliant! Didn't even know these existed!
⭐Highly recommend!⭐ This UNI USB-C to Ethernet adapter is a game-changer for anyone who needs a fast, reliable internet connection for their laptop, especially when Wi-Fi is weak or unavailable. The build quality is fantastic—it feels solid and well-made, not flimsy like some cheaper alternatives. Performance: I've used it with my MacBook Pro and the connection is rock-solid. I'm getting consistently high speeds, and there's no lag or drop-outs, which is crucial for things like video calls and large file transfers. It's truly plug-and-play; I didn't need to install any drivers. Design: The design is sleek and the braided cable is a nice touch, giving it extra durability. The small size also makes it super easy to toss in my laptop bag without taking up much space. If you're looking for a simple, effective, and reliable way to get a wired connection for your USB-C device, don't hesitate to buy this one. It's a bit more than the no-name brands, but the performance and quality are worth every penny. 👍 Pros: Excellent build quality Blazing-fast, stable connection True plug-and-play functionality Durable braided cable Cons: None so far! Overall: 5/5 stars. A must-have accessory.

Works out of the box - not getting gigabit speeds
This little dongle is awesome. It allows you to connect to your network using ethernet as opposed to using WiFi making for a much more reliable network experience. That being said, my particular device has not been able to achieve Gigabit ethernet speeds even though it is being recognised as a Gigabit capable device by MacOS. I tested this using 3 devices, a PC (plugged into my switch via Cat 6 ethernet), a raspberry Pi (plugged into my switch via Cat 6 ethernet) and my 13 inch 2018 Macbook Pro (plugged into my switch via Cat 6 ethernet using the Uni Ethernet adapter). I used iPerf3 in running in docker on all 3 devices. Between the PC & Raspberry Pi, I was able to consistently get 935+ Mbits/sec, between the Macbook Pro and the Pi I was getting ~ 300 Mbits/sec and between the Macbook Pro and the PC, I also got ~ 300 Mbits/sec. I tried 3 different ethernet cables into the mac, tried using all the thunderbolt 3 ports, tried using 2 different Macbook Pro's, and tried removing all other connected devices. None of these changes were able to impact the speeds I was getting, leading me to conclude, it can only be the Uni Ethernet adapter that is causing the slowdown as every other variable had been accounted for. I started this testing because I thought my NAS was too slow and was thinking of buying a new NAS, turns out I'm not getting Gigabit speeds out of my laptop. I'll contact their support and see what they have to say and will update this review if there are any changes. EDIT: A quick word about the support from uni. They were absolutely first class and handled my issues . Amended the rating from 2* to 4* to take this into account. I can only imagine I was an unlucky customer and that most people will be absolutely fine with this product. Even if you're not fine, the lifetime support/warranty from uni will make things right for you.

Does the job perfectly
Connects quickly and there is no hassle or setup involved. Has 2 small LED's for information too. Feels durable due to the braided cable and metal outer construction. I've found it to be compatible on both of my laptops and my phone.

Works well
Works well. Clicked into my macbook nicely. I had tried another one which didn't fit all the way in. As if the usb connecter didn't fit properly. This one is great.

UNI ethernet to USB-C adaptor - a success story
I have poor Wi-Fi connectivity in my house and decided to test connectivity using a wired ethernet connection on my Microsoft Laptop 4 with Windows 10. When I did a speed check with the USB-C adaptor connected this came up with the old Wi-Fi speeds. I ran a Windows update and this downloaded Realtek driver 10.61.327.2024. After restarting the computer it recognised the ethernet connection. The speed now achieved fully matches my deal with Zen Internet. The little lights at the end of the unit are very useful for showing the adaptor is working. As a sideline, I am using a Cat 8 shielded ethernet cable in case I want to increase speed in the future. Otherwise a good quality Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable will probably suffice. I'd say this is an unqualified success. Thank you UNI.
