John Deere wanted in the neighborhood of $200 for a fuel pump to fit a John Deere 318. This one fit perfectly, pumps fine (fixed my problem) and cost about $15 including a new fuel pump.It's a little smaller physically than the original, but the connections and the mounting holes are identical. The only issue I had installing it had nothing to do with the fuel pump; apparently John Deere forgot to put an access hole for one of the screws in the heat shield. Other than that it was quick fix.I did have to prime it first time: hold a thumb over the PCV valve while cranking the motor for about 15-30 seconds, then quickly release. After that, it cranks first time every time.

The product was exactly as shown. Quality fuel filter and clamps also included. Fuel pump assembly was correct but one of the hose line connections was cracked. I tried to glue it and reconnect but it completely broke off after doing so. I'm going to have to get another one again.

The plastic was much more brittle than the 30 yr old pump I was replacing. I installed this and needed to remove one of the hoses. The nipple just popped off.In 20+ yrs of turning wrenches, I haven't see a plastic part this brittle right out of the box.

Great product

Though smaller than the original on my JD 318 it fits right in place and works perfectly. The fuel filter is a bonus for the price. Very happy.

Price

The fuel line ports are extremely brittle. Broke off when trying to push the fuel line on. I was just replacing the pump since I had the engine out. Put the old pump back in with no problems. Going to order one from a JD dealer.
