Concentrated Non-Bio, Laundry Detergent Refill, Laundry Washing Liquid, Lavender and Sandalwood, 142 Washes, 5L

I have been using this laundry detergent for a number of years and since the first time I used it, it was love at first wash. I alternate between the lavender and eucalyptus and the lavender and sandalwood. My god, the smells are heaven! I have really bought into the ECO situation --I feel like an environmentally friendly person when I use this laundry detergent... maybe i's because of the whole ethos of the company (I have definitely joined the revolution!). More pragmatically, this laundry detergent has worked very well for me in terms of cleaning power, leaving my clothes smelling glorious but not overpoweringly so (love it!) and also because the detergent seems gentle on my clothes and leaves them feeling soft (I do not use fabric softener). Also, I have found this detergent does not make my skin itch, which happened once with a very established brand. Would recommend 100%

I have been using Ecover Non-Bio washing liquid for a few years now and usually wait for it to be on offer in my supermarket before purchasing. However, when I saw by chance you can buy in a 5l bottle at a much cheaper price than the regular supermarket price, plus the advantage of never running out when bought on subscription, I had to try this out. It definitely works for me! I adore the gentle fragrance and now when I smell people's clothes that have been washed in highly perfumed washing liquid it turns my stomach - all those chemicals!! I always get a good and effective wash and if I do need a bit of help, I throw a handful of Sodium Bicarbonate in and it works like magic. I don't have sensitive skin but I find the liquid to be gentle and caring to the skin too.

We use this on all our household washing including our baby’s clothes from a newborn age, she has sensitive / eczema prone skin and has had no problems with this detergent. It’s effective at removing a large proportion of stains except the most stubborn (e.g. tumeric) where I have to use a spot treatment. The scent is delicate and smells natural compared to others. The clothes come out reasonably soft even without softener, but can become a bit stiff if using a heated airer (no problems when line drying). This size is excellent value for money and a little goes a long way, you only need a capful for one large load, we do at least one load a day and this size has lasted us 2 months.

An environmentally friendly and effective product that has not let me down in the dish cleaning department. I have not noticed any difference in the effectiveness of this over any other mainstream brand. Yes, it is dearer, but buying in bulk offsets that to a degree, especially with its green credentials. I consider this good quality and value, and so long as you don't go wild with the amount used, this will last a long time. I have no adverse skin reactions with this, or any of the Ecover products. I can even use the washing-up water in the garden; something I would never do with ordinary washing-up liquids. That helps save water, too. Now, the size may be an issue for some users, especially when first used and or to decant into smaller vessels. It has a spout which limits the rate you can empty the liquid. And whilst this means you get far less drips and wastage, you do need to hold the container up longer to pour. But for me, that is a small price to pay for a bulk buy and saving packaging waste.

We've used this laundry detergent for a number of years now, mainly due to the fact we're not on the mains system. Cleaning ability is great. It has a reasonable fresh scent and in this refil 5ltr size makes massive financial sense.

I have been looking for a eco friendly and non toxic detergent for quite a few months and was initially hesitant given the price tag. However this detergent is worth it! Clothes are left clean and soft after washing and a slight pleasant scent lingers. I am really happy with this product and would definitely recommend if anybody is looking to switch from those main stream commercial brands!
