Using it Successfully as Dog Fencing for a Boxer
Despite that it's very easily torn, it's successfully containing my one-year-old Boxer in my backyard!Once my Boxer pup turned 9 months old, she started testing her boundaries, so I tried this as a temporary solution to remind her where the boundaries were. I had low expectations of it working to contain her, but I didn't want to have to install a fence. After a couple of trial and error mishaps, it's been working well to keep her contained even when temptation beckons. But not because it's strong... this netting tears very easily and is tricky to work with because it tangles, but it's an inexpensive alternative to building a permanent fence if your dog is only moderately motivated to go exploring. If your dog is determined to escape, this netting isn't going to stop it.The netting comes folded in half on the roll, and I left it doubled like that for extra strength, so the fence is only 3.5 feet high as I'm using it. I used zip ties to attach it to green steel garden stakes. This way I can easily pull the stakes out and lay the fencing down when I mow the lawn and then put it back into place after mowing. If it tears where it's secured to the stakes (and it sometimes does), I simply replace the zip ties. The first day I installed it, my dog didn't see it and plowed right through it. It didn't hurt her, but it freaked her out enough to make her think twice about doing that again. After that I tied strips of plastic tape to the fencing every few feet so she would see the strips waving in the breeze to remind her where the fence was. All went well for awhile until she discovered she could wiggle under the netting to go visit the kids next door, so I bought some tent stakes to secure the bottom of the netting to the ground. The reality is that my Boxer could easily go through this netting if she wanted, but her first experience doing that was enough of a deterrent that she doesn't try. I wouldn't leave my dog unsupervised in the yard, just relying on this netting to contain her, but it works great if I'm outside with her and just want to prevent her from bolting on me.

Don't let the price fool you- this netting/fencing is the answer
wow. This is GREAT stuff, and the fact that it's so cheap is amazing. I thought I'd have to spend A LOT of money on a large fence for an area on my property where I'm growing fruit trees and fruit bushes because it's a pretty sizeable area. I came across the deer netting/fencing and thought it wouldn't hurt to at least try it for the price. I was actually able to use existing large trees as posts and the netting and the bark work like velcro, so I didn't even use the zip tie things. I've only had it up for about 2 months, but in that time, it's stayed in place. Not that this would work for everyone but when I read reviews it seemed most people were using it for smaller areas with posts. Well I used it for a 50 square ft area. I was surprised at how durable the little connections are. Because I was wrapping it around trees, there were a couple times when I tangled the netting in some branches. I thought for sure the netting would rip when I pulled the branch away, but it didn't break or tear once. Very impressive. I had my doubts about the height, but it really does cover the ground up to 7 feet. What I also REALLY like is that once it's up, you don't see it unless you're 3 feet in front of it, so it doesn't look like I've got "cheap" netting in my yard. It's kept this area of my property looking like it's open, when in fact, it's protected from the critters who want to eat my fruit. I can't believe you have to say it these days, but I was not paid in any way for this review. I just like to give feedback to other people when something I get is really good.
