Neat size works well
This pen is a perfect size for my niece who is 7 years old, it is light and works well. She and I are very happy with it. The straight rods for pla colours are perfect. The pen I have at home is larger and with the coils do colour not as manageable for a youngster. In a very short time she was using it and making lovely shapes.

Good once you know how
Bought as a christmas gift for my daughter after she enjoyed using one on a science day with school. It says to use the correct heat setting for the plastice rods that come with the kit, however they weren't melting correctly and the pen was horrible to use, so we changed to the other setting (I assume its hotter) and it worked perfectly, so I would advise testing both settings on the pen if you are struggling.

Worked as described
A must buy for any artists, the ability to bring a creation into 3rd is a real joy. I was dubious about how it worked in practice, but it's good performance, easy to clean and clear any blockages, works well OTS stock from many suppliers. Good controls and accessories (cable length etc). I've played with it several times now and have formed a solid opinion about it. For the price, it's a great bit of kit.

NOT compatible with standard 1.75mm filament
Yes, it says it’s compatible with 3mm filament but it will not work with standard 1.75mm filament. Consequently of absolutely no use as a repair device for models made on fem printer. Waste of my money.

A solution looking for a problem, but nicely implemented
This is a mains operated pen that must be supplied with power to work. The 3Doodler I was supplied to review came with a very odd mains plug, (see pic) so I had to provide my own. I'm not sure if that was just an issue with review products, but it's worth knowing. Warm-up time is about 80-90 seconds, which seems like a long time. I was using my 24W switchable power supply, however the one it came with is rated 6W, so I'm guessing that's an accurate reflection of how fast it heats up. When power is applied and the pen switched on, a red light comes on, when the correct temperature is reached, the light turns blue, and you're ready to go.Gripping the pen is comfortable, the buttons are logically positioned and press with a defined click. In use, the "slow" setting was actually quite nippy as far as I'm concerned, and the fast setting somewhat unmanageable for me. It takes a couple of seconds after a button press before any plastic flows, however stopping the flow with another button press is instantaneous, which is impressive. Changing colours is a bit of a faff, and there are some cleaning tools provided (see pic) which may well be needed, though I managed without needing to clean the pen.The tip is very hot when the pen is warmed up, as is freshly output plastic, so burns and blisters are quite likely if you're not sensible using this. Not suitable for children it says on the box, and it's good advice. If you're creative and skilled, this could be a really cool piece of equipment for crafting art, or maybe cos-play items. It's certainly simple enough to use, but does require some skill. Actually quite a lot of skill, if you want good results. Also, it seems a bit pricey, and I had to provide my own power source.I'd advise you to know you want one of these before you buy it. It's not something to buy on a whim. But if you know how to use a 3D pen, this is a nice 3D pen.

I love it but I have a problem
I love this product so much but I have a problem. I've had this product since June and have been using it maybe a couple of times a month, I have had a couple of minor clogs but nothing too bad, until now, the pen has clogged and I've done the usual try to extract use the tools, up the heat in hopes of melting any stuck plastic, but nothing is working, the filament is jammed so securely in the pen, I've looked for tutorials of how to fix it but none of them have worked, I am now unsure of what to do.

New level doodling!
Comfortable to hold and easy to use. This pen takes doodling to a whole new level! So much fun trying out new penmanship. Only downside is that it’s supplied with an American plug so an adapter is needed.
