I have purchased several ladders and step stools trying to find something that is easy to use around my house. Several rooms here have ten foot ceilings so I need something to give me a good lift to reach the ceiling lamps. Ladders will do the trick but they are heavy and difficult to get out when they are needed. Most step stools are light, but they are usually too short to make much difference. The Costco 3-step stool is perfect for my needs. It weighs about ten points so it is easy to lift and move around. And it really is a 3-step stool. You can safely stand on the top step. Of course you still need to be careful. It won't prevent a fall if you are determined to take such a trip, but it is sturdy enough not to move a great deal when you stand on it, so it won't be the cause of a fall. Keep a hand on the top rail or at least a leg, and you should be okay. Storage is easy too. Folding is easier that most others I have used. Lift a handle at the back of the top step, and the steps fold up flat to be easily stored in a closet or under a bed, couch, etc. I am very happy with this purchase, so I gladly recommend it.

This stool is perfect. I got this to have as my own instead of having to use the one my dad uses for handy man work which was way too heavy/clunky for me to carry back and forth. He also needs it a lot so it's very nice to have one of my own that's designed more for this kind of intended use. I'm 5'2" and this stool allows me to touch the ceiling while standing on the top step, no wobbling, very sturdy. It's lightweight and super easy to fold in and out as well as small enough to store anywhere if you need it out of the way. Reaching for anything in a home will be no problem from now on. Independence to the vertically challenged ~ !

I love having such a light-to-carry, but sturdy, ladder! I can now easily, and SAFELY, wash high windows, clean the top of my bookcase, bring down the large china platter from the highest shelf that's needed for the holiday party with our extended family and grab the right tent and camping gear from high shelves in the storage room. I used to get a bit too creative to do these things. I really appreciate the design - where you can be positive is securely locked in place. The stairs are rather narrow (but strong), but I imagine they decided on this design aspect to keep the weight down on this ladder. They have many other ladders to choose from it this doesn't suit you...but for me, it was a good trade off. I really appreciate the lightness of the ladder!

I have used this ladder for several months now. I live in a small space and am quite short. This ladder is great. I have it hanging on two hooks in the hall and can easily grab it down and open it to be used. It is exceptionally light weight and easy to maneuver and can be opened/closed and moved with one hand. This is very sturdy and does not wobble at all. The bottom two stairs can be a bit uncomfortable/thin to stand on without shoes, but I typically stand on the top step.

In the kitchen my wife was climbing chairs or standing on a tippy 2-step stool. I bought this because it had a climbing handle, was light weight, folded to about 3 inches thick, fits between the counter and refrigerator, and was inexpensive. The steps are broad and sturdy particularly the top step which you stand on with your knees braced against the handle. This is well made but not industrial standard seen in supermarkets, but more than good enough for home use. We use it every day.

I just received this stool. I like almost everything about it: The price was good, under $35. It's very light weight – several pounds lighter than my current, similar stool (the light weight is why I bought it). I'm 5'5" and the top step gets me as close as I need to get to my 8' ceilings. It's reasonably flat when folded; it can be slipped into a space of 3 1/4" (only the feet are that deep, for most of the length it's more like 2 1/4"). What I DON'T LIKE: the space between steps is about 12", which is too high for me to step comfortably because of arthritis. On my current stool, that space is more like 10 1/2", which is much easier for me to manage. I will keep this stool because of the light weight (about 7.5 lbs).

I love this step stool! I previously bought a 2 step Cosco light weight step stool and liked it so much. I needed a taller one to reach higher places so I was so happy to see a 3 step stool was made exactly like the 2 step. The best part about it is the weight. I can carry it room to room without much effort and I can take it in the car easily when needed. Both stools are very sturdy and the top step is large enough to prevent any falls. I highly recommend both of these step stools.

Ligera, resistente, muy buena

This is a great little ladder. It's not sturdy enough to be a work ladder, but it's built well enough for my wife to use it in the kitchen. It's nice and light for her to move it around with ease.
