Good Cook Ceramic 18 Ounce Soup Dish, Red

A gift years ago and used so often I had to replace this item. The replacements are the same weight and quality. Very pleased.

The product was high quality EXCEPT the cover does not fit!!!

I wanted something other than plastic to bring soup to work and heat up in microwave, I like this cup but you can't use the lid in the microwave,so I have to bring something to cover the cup just in case there's an explosion of food which has happened before .

This one was a good size, I use it for canned soups/pasta, ramen (break the brick in half), salad, casserole, oatmeal, etc. You can get larger sizes, 20+ ounces, but this one is a good size, I wouldn't get one any smaller. There are some other ones that have a different kind of plastic lid with a large drop side and a vent on top, but I actually prefer this simple top, it's easier to get on and off, and I wouldn't want to cook anything in the microwave with a plastic lid on, anyway. Just take a paper towel that's slightly larger and fold 3 or four corners down so it stays in place when you put it over the top to catch splatters.

Use this for almost anything. Breakfast, lunch dinner. Coffee, soup, stew, reheat anything. Size has a built in portion control if you can eat just one serving. Love this cup. And, it’s red. 👌

II was looking for something ceramic to store bacon grease in and happened across this. It works fine for that. I was surprised at how secure the lid is. I don't have any fear of accidental spills. I store it on my cooktop and the pop of color looks nice. The spout is very useful when I need to pour out some of the bacon grease.
