Effective and Affordable
I rpurchased the Cable Matters 2-Pack Premium XLR to XLR Microphone Cables (1.8m) for my audio setup, which includes a Shure microphone, a Cloudlifter, and a Roland VR. My primary goal was to find a reliable connection that wouldn't break the bank, and I'm happy to report that these cables have meet my expectations.Firstly, the build quality of these XLR cables is really goof. They have a thick coating that not only gives them a robust feel but also suggests they'll be durable in the long run. This aspect is crucial for anyone who regularly uses and moves their audio equipment. I dont move mine. Mine is set up in my office. So i dont know how well they would take constantly moving them , which is common for musitians. In terms of performance, these cables work like a charm. The audio transmission is clear, and there's no noticeable loss in sound quality, which is essential for both recording and live setups. The affordability of these cables is a significant plus. Finding high-quality audio cables at a reasonable price can be hard, but these hit the sweet spot of cost-effectiveness and performance. However, there is one concern that I have. I'm not entirely sure if the thickness of these cables is sufficient to prevent interference from my cell phone. This is a common issue with many cables, where electronic devices in close proximity can cause unwanted noise. To mitigate this, I keep my phone away from the cables, which seems to help. I dont know what other devices could cause interference. But the solution is simple just keep your phone 2 feet away. For those considering these cables, it might be worth noting this issue, especially if you plan to use them in a setting with numerous electronic devices around. While other, more expensive cables might offer better shielding, these Cable Matters XLR cables are a great choice if you're looking for a balance between quality and affordability.Overall I would definitely recommend the Cable Matters 2-Pack Premium XLR to XLR Microphone Cables. .

Quality general use cables.
I bought a 2 pk of 6ft XLR cables. I use one on a condenser mic and the other on a cardioid dynamic mic. Both on boom arms. The connectors are metal. Not super cheap pot metal, not CNC stainless steel either. But durable enough. The locking clip is decent as well. The cable is average in thickness . Flexibility is average. Shielding seems to be adequate. The signal is clean on both mics and there is no increase on the noise floor. No fuzzy static white noise or anything that cheap cables can have. In fact, for a general purpose cable I would say they are above expectation.I have zero issues with them in a basic home recording set up.Cables make a huge difference in audio quality.Cheap cables can sound thin or quiet, have a white noise ,low level static, to them or be susceptible to electrical interference and get a hum or buzz. Also cheap cables can break easily. There definitely are higher end “pro audio”/audiophile cables to be had for the professional on tour or professional studio demanding the absolute cleanest, fullest signal. That said, most “average” users, from home studios/podcasters, even churches, local gig or garage bands and similar users will do just fine with these if you aren’t setting up and tearing down a zillion times a week. They are durable enough for someone setting up a podcast or home studio or even doing some weekend gigs regularly.

Solid quality and price
If you need to extend your XLR cable, these are perfect. The overall quality of the cord is solid and durable while being flexible enough to easily route your cables. They feel premium and the length is as advertised. They work perfectly well extending my Shure MV7X XLR connection. Easily connects and is a nice and snug fit into the port. The price is really good comparing to other cables that are double the price. Definitely recommended.

Good quality cables, but a little pricey
These smaller cables are super useful for running my mic through effects before the PA...but they are quite a bit more expensive than the next option, not sure I gained anything by paying more. Definitely high quality, but you may be able to get similar quality for less!
