IMAK Smart Glove Thumb and Wrist Support

I love these gloves, there are two thin plastic lolly stick shapes down either side of your thumb, and a thicker foam strip down the back of your hand. Neither is enough to stop movement, but certainly enough to remind you every time not to extend your hand and thumb beyond the safe angles, and thus help to avoid pain at the end of the day. The built in wrist rest is a pouch of small plastic beads, and actually quite comfy for getting that extra bit of height for using a built in laptop trackpad. Not enough support for a serious medical problem, but enough to hopefully prevent it getting that bad if you are starting to feel the ache in your hands at the end of the day. I have the beginnings of arthritis in my hands, and these really help me. The glove is reversible so can be used on either hand.

I returned this item it would have costed £50 for a of gloves. Product good if you only want one

This is very comfortable to wear, but because of the support "beans" under the thumb, it is only really suitable to wear when on the computer or writing.

This glove provides excellent support and relief for painful thumbs. My criticism is that even with light everday use they are not long lasting. The plastic splints have sharp edges which soon cut through the fabric. Only eight to ten weeks before they are splitting so a design fault I think. That said, I am reordering again because they do relieve the pain by restricting the lateral movement of my thumbs.

I bought this for my left hand but this product is clearly only affective on your right hand. Extremely disappointing that in order to return it I am charged to ship it back since it was sold and shipped by an outside company. Too much of a hassle to send it back so I’m stuck with something I can’t use.

I like the brace and wear it while sleeping, for deCuervain's symdrome, (involves base of thumb, inner wrist, sometimes lower arm). I measured myself to find I should order size SM, but in fact it could be a bit tighter for me. That doesn't make it ineffective, but compression around the wrist would be even better with a tighter fit.

This product really helps with my hands because I have carpal problems.

Was having problems with my hand for all the typing I do. This support really helped.
