G-Shock Ga100 Casual Digital Watch

I own several G-Shock’s and this one is definitely a winner. The white color is super fresh. Absolutely awesome. It’s a fashion statement. Do not hesitate to buy it, unless ... it is important to be able to read the watch in the dark or at night. I am disappointed with that feature. The watch does illuminate, but it is still near impossible to read in the dark. That’s why I have given it four out of five stars. Aside from that, the watch is stellar. So if you need a watch that you need to be able to read in the dark on a regular basis, this is not the right watch. However, if that is not all that important to you, then go ahead and pull the trigger you won’t be sorry. For me, I specifically wanted a white G-Shock. My other ones are black and red. It delivers in spades in that department. The band is actually a glossy finish which is sweet. And the watch is nice and big and chunky. No regrets about purchasing it. But if I’m going to the movies, or camping, this will not be the watch I wear. You get the picture.

Great looking on my arm, easy to read, the size is just the statement I wanted to make. Cool looking and you can’t tell from the pics but the watch and band are both shiny rather than matt finish which was a nice surprise. Finally Casio has made smaller adjustments on the band. My last G-Shock the holes were so far apart that the watch was either too loose or cutting into my wrist but this fits perfectly.

Love the watch. I was worried about the white and whether I'd like it but since I bought it it's been worn more than any of my other G-Shocks. I like the GA100 as well. After purchasing this model, I think I like the Analog better than the full digital. Some reviews have complained about the way the watch lights up and they are right. It's almost impossible to read the digital readouts in the dark with the light. However, who needs to see the date at night anyway :)

I've been waiting a little more than a month to put the review in so at least I got more experiences on the watch .Just like other G-Shocks , this one is sturdy , could be a little big if you have small wrist and used to those dressy watches .The white color and the size will caused some extra attentions to your wrist , mostly nice complements .When I first bought it , I reset the time accordingly with my Iphone , it's now more than a month and the watch has gone faster about 40 sec. compared to my phone . So it could be better but I wouldn't complained about it .It could be hard to tell the time in the dark ,the light is not cover the whole face of the watch , plus the very busy face design make it harder to look at the hands .The watch and its band is in shiny white and easy to clean / wipe off if you get it dirty .And as always , Amazon customer service is second to none , in case you have any question/problem with your purchase .A very happy purchase for me .** Update 6/11Check with the Iphone again today and the watch shows about a minute and 6 sec faster .So unless you are a kind of perfect-timer person ,otherwise you can reset the watch once ,say every 3 or 4 months , just to make sure it won't go out way off the time line .Everything else are great , got it dirty a couple of time ,some water and soap would take it right off . Still a happy camper .

Great looking watch. I was worried it would be a little clunky at 55mm and 17mm thick, but the watch wears well and even my fairly slender wrist, doesn't look cartoonish. Displays and functions are well though out.

Watched this watch for weeks for the price to drop into the 60s and the minute it did I picked it up. In all honesty i probably would have paid 80-90 for it because its great, but I was just looking for a deal. Same watch at a retail store near me was 100+ and the guy said he would price match amazon until i showed him the price. He tried to tell me what i was buying wasnt original, blah blah blah. I purchased it, then went back to the watch store asking to see the "real" one, and then asked the guy to distinguish between the two, and he couldnt. It is a REAL G SHOCK, so buy it and dont think twice!

I really like this watch, the best one I have of my Gshocks. I like the contrast between the dials and the background so my old eyes can read the arms. The band may be a bit shiny for some but I like it myself and I wear it everyday at work. Being a white watch it may not match a lot of outfits but I can care less what people think, I like the watch. I guess you could say its a summer watch or maybe even festive but I just like it as a watch and it fits my needs. I rarely use the stopwatch or countdown so its more like wrist candy.

This is a big MANLY watch! Big face, just about right thickness and not that heavy.I gave this to my 15 yo son for his birthday and he loved it. Adjusting time is easy. It has world time capability. Choose the country or state and the arms move to the correct time.The face looks complicated, but that's the feature I actually like about this watch.Its white color makes it unique and fancy, but doesn't shout "LOOK AT ME!". Would I wear this watch? Probably, not because my style is more of a formal and reserved. I would recommend these to the younger generation -- the young adults, college students or probably fashionistas.

bought this thinking its going to have features that other watches dont have, but in fact it doesn't have many features that others already have. For example, the backlight is like that of a watch which was built in the 80's! just one little bulb at the bottom that doesn't even illuminate the whole screen! I paid 80 pounds for this and expected at least a decent watch! The buttons are pretty difficult to press when wearing the watch.

My son has not took this watch of he loves it looks good

Great watch, the best light of any G shock. Has a nice “piano” white look to it.
