Who would think that a paper towel holder would make me happy? I'd never pay for a premium paper towel holder... before this one. It is just absurdly easy. It handles the oversized paper towel rolls (I only use Bounty Select-a-Size). It's attractive. It's simple to install. It does what you'd expect a paper towel holder to do.I don't need an "auto-tear" or anything to feed sheets through. Paper towels tear just fine. However, what makes this holder different from others is the cap at the end. Lightly press the sides of the cap in, and it comes off to change the roll. Put the new roll on, slide the cap in, and it clicks and is locked. No long piece has to come out awkwardly against other cabinets. The mount is secure and can go under a cabinet or on a backsplash. Like most things, if you install it on drywall, use anchors (not included, I don't think). If you install it on plaster - well, we don't install anything that gets high use on our plaster walls!I've had paper towel holders with large dowels that were unwieldy to pull out and replace. I had the cheap plastic and metal paper towel holders that gripped the two ends - easy to replace, but the paper towel roll doesn't spin easily.I will admit, especially with the mega paper towel sizes, the simplehuman doesn't "spin" easily. That doesn't matter to me. A few sheets later, it spins fine but not excessively. The only fix to that would be a redesign, and it's such a minor flaw I'm happy to live with it. I have the same issue with the mega toilet paper rolls.We've had this paper towel holder for 8 or 9 years. It works just as well as the new one we bought for the workshop in our garage. It is a little more expensive than cheaper options but it's ridiculously easy operation makes it well worth it.

We bought one off these a couple of weeks ago and it’s been great. I just broke the cheap plastic one I had in the garage. So I bought another one off these these and it’s great. Very sturdy and holds the largest rolls.

I put this under neath my kitchen cabinet and it’s a gem. Its sleek design goes with the kitchen decor and it’s extremely easy to use. It doesn’t wobble when you pull off a piece of paper or nothing. 10/10 would buy again.

I want to love it, like I love my other simplehuman products, but I don't. I am, however, happy enough with it.What I do like:- Well made, like typical simplehuman products.- Stainless steel- Looks nice.- Works pretty well.The Cons:- Maybe it is me, but I cannot work this one-handed, much less control how much paper towel peels off, as is touted for the product. The stopper doesn't seem to stop anything. This could be pilot error on my part, or a function of where I put it (as in not getting the right angle on it). I didn't buy it for that reason, so it's not a big deal for me, but if that is important to you....- It's kind of clunky and seems kind of large. Now, this could be me. My kitchen in my new house is a little smaller than in my previous house, so I might just be more aware of it's actual size as a result. But I had a hard time fitting it under my cabinets, and it seemed absolutely huge when I thought about putting it on a wall in the open. I finally found a spot under my cabinets where it worked okay, but it was a bit of a challenge. It's probably just me. However, if your space is tight in your kitchen, you may have trouble getting enough clearance to mount this, especially if you don't have clear counter space under it.- I kinda hate that knob on the end. Something a little smaller and more streamlined looking would have been nice. It kinda makes the product feel "industrial" to me and less "kitcheny." Minor thing.- Installation was pretty straightforward. I highly recommend marking off the holes for the screws and pre-drilling. The screws that came with this were really long and would have pierced all the way through the bottom of my cabinets. My cabinets are not unduly thin at the base, so I was a little surprised by this. Fortunately, I noticed this before I mangled my cabinets and scrounged up some shorter wood screws that fit. Something to note.Despite my nitpicky issues, this is a nice quality product. Like most simplehuman products, I think it is a little overpriced, but it is functional and I expect it will last pretty much forever. I'm not in love with it, but I am happy enough with the purchase.

Beautifully designed and engineered. I love the sturdiness of the paper toewl holder. And the spring-like "break" that prevents the towels from unrolling wildly (a real flaw in other holders) is genius. The easy towel replacement end cap is also a bonus. One of my best purchases this year!
