Disney At the Piano (Piano Solo Songbook) Paperback – April 1, 1999

I've been at the piano for nearly 50 years (yikes), having started lessons at age 6 and continuing until age 16. Despite that, I consider myself an intermediate level pianist. I ordered this book because "Beauty and the Beast" is such a beautiful song. The arrangement is beautifully done and fits my skill level. I am pleased that the arrangements of the other pieces are the same in nature. I would have preferred a comb binding rather to make page turning easier, because even after the page is turned, I have to place another book on it to keep the book open. Perhaps with time, I will remove the pages and insert into a binder.

The songs in the book are:The Bare Necessities,Beauty and the Beast,Candle on the Water,Circle of Life,Colors of the Wind,A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes,Friend Like Me,God Help the Outcasts,It's a Small World,Mickey Mouse March,Once Upon a Dream,The Time of Your Life,Under the Sea,and Where Do I Go from Here.None of the songs have lyrics which makes it a little tricky to keep track of where you are.

I really like this book so far. I've been taking piano lessons about five years. I've tried several of the songs, a couple I can play pretty well but for the most part the music will give me a challenge. At first glance I thought I would need a more advanced book but I've found this book to be more challenging than I first thought. After five years of lessons I wanted something with some challenge and this was it. Not so hard that it's frustrating but not for a beginner. If you are looking for Disney songs that are more advanced than the easy piano, this is the book for you.

Came quickly and was is great condition. I have played from this book since I was young, so it was fun to get a copy for my collection of music. These are fun arrangements, early intermediate level.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons for several years. She thinks that 'Disney At the Piano' has a nice variety of the Disney classic songs. She is enjoying the challange of playing; it's not too easy that she's bored and it's not too advanced that she's discouraged. She would recommend this piano book to anyone intermediate piano player that likes Disney music.

Absolutely beautiful arrangements of disney songs! This is not the typical piano-voice-guitar tab book, so if you're looking for something with lyrics and something that is easy don't buy it. If you're looking for a book of elaborate (but not impossible) piano solos, like I was, of your favorite disney songs, this is the book you want. I picked up the piano again after a very long break. It took awhile to learn the songs, but with hard work they are worth the effort!

I love disney music and this has many of my favorite songs. Some were a bit more challenging for me but most i could play fairly quickly. Just comes down to amount of real practice and i get lazy with that :P but overall probably my favorite song book since most of my favorite songs to play come from this book.
