Works ... when not humid.
This isn't my first cooling towel, which sounds weird as first as the last think you'd want on a hot day is a scarf of sorts. Since it relies on evaporation, you need the air to be relatively dry to get the cooling effect. Our state isn't necessarily known to have a lot of days of dry heat and the high humidity reduces the effect drastically. So for me, this means that the initial cooling effect from a wet towel doesn't last long and converting sweat into a cooling towel is a bit of a unfulfilled promise. (The sweat is soaked up by the towel and the larger surface is supposed to encourage evaporation.)On days when it works, however, it's both a nice sun screen for my neck and a cooling scarf. However, on the real bad days when it's hot and humid ... the only solution is to get inside where the air-conditioner rules.

It works
Pleasantly surprised that this thing really does work. Easy to use and actually useful. It’s not going to turn me in to a hot weather fan, but it’s nice to have on hand during yard work or a long walk.

Yes, the towel does have a bit of a cooling effect
I was curious about this item, as when I'm sweaty, putting cool water on my face, or similar, can help cause an evaporative cooling effect. Better to drink fluids, but, there is something to splashing water onto one's face, neck, etc. This towel is not too large, it's meant more for your face and neck. It has small perforations in the fabric, and the fabric is tough. This towel works through evaporative cooling. Snapping the towel causes the layers to separate so air can better flow, it seems. So, there are some reasons, to the instructions. The towel is a nice option to have, if out in the heat. Also, the packing is a bit odd. On the back of the bag, it reads machine washable, then at the bottom of the package in the white bar, it says do not machine wash. My towel washed fine in the washing machine. I placed it inside a lingerie bag, a good spot for delicate things I don't want tangled up. I wouldn't wash this without placing it in a lingerie bag. Also, with this towel, if you wash it in a washing machine, I'd suggest not using fabric softener, as fabric softener can screw with the wicking ability of things, so I'd assume it would do the same to this towel. It is best to just wash this towel in cold water, with a mild detergent. If none of your washing machine loads is like that, then wash it separately by hand, or whatever. The towel works, it's nothing amazing, but, it's what I expected. Also included int he package, is a mesh bag for holding your cooling towel.

Good Surprise
I don't know why this product is titled for women, but if you're curious, it works just fine for anyone. I've always been skeptical of similar products, but I decided to give the AZGIANT product a try after taking up running and combining that with the southern heat. This towel is pretty great. Any water temp will do along with a few snaps of the towel and you've got yourself a quick heat relief/cool-down. When the towel inevitably heats back up from absorbing the surrounding heat, as long as it's still wet, you can give it another snap or two to cool it back down. The towel will stay cool with a little assistance from you for about an hour without needing another water soak. The time it's able to cool drops depending on how/where you're using it. I draped it over my shoulder during a casual walk on a 90+F day in the sun and was able to get 45 minutes out of it without breaking a sweat, so it does well to regulate body temp.

Great for hiking in hot New Mexico weather.
This has come in handy several times as a great way to cool off a little while hiking. We've had a particularly hot summer in New Mexico, but we try not to let that stop us from enjoying the outdoors (especially since we can't really travel anywhere cooler). We seek higher elevations. We start early in the day. But on long hikes, it still gets hot. We have plenty of water on hand, and that's the most important thing, of course. But being able to take out this cloth and use some of that water to get it wet, then putting that around your neck is amazing effective at providing cooling relief. It's always surprising that this (at best) room temp water just feels cooler on these cloths. They are lightweight and take up very little room. Absolutely worth bringing along. We're very glad we have this!
