Lobster Claw Oven, Cotton Decorative Mitt

I ordered the lobster pattern and it looks amazing. It was meant to be a gag gift and it definitely serves its purpose. Works pretty okay as an actual oven mitt. Just letting y'all know that I ordered this expecting to receive one mitt and I received six. Gave the extra to some friends.

The description says it's decorative and it is. Not very heat resistant and shaped like claw. You can do the math on how well it works as an actual oven mitt. We hang it in the kitchen.

I love the bright colors, it looks just as advertised. I love that it's so cool and it actually functions well as oven mitt. Held a hot skillet by the bottom while putting it in the oven. I will say that I'm a woman with medium sized hands and I thought the mitt was kinda small. The pointy claw doesn't make it easy to grip because my hand isn't claw-shaped but it isn't bad if you're not too clumsy. I'm still getting used to using this mitt but I do like overall so far.

My almost seven year old son though my husband was getting two, like they were supposed to be snow mitts or something, I don't know. He was still happy when he found out it was an oven mitt and there was only one because, he was so stoked to see his dad with a lobster claw as a hand. Of course, my husband never fails in the humor department and now has a "character" he plays when the claw is on. It sounds a lot like Mr. Krabs from Spongebob Squarepants. I thought he could be a little more original but hey, we all get a kick out of it and my youngest gets the most enjoyment out of it because he definitely takes the credit for choosing it. Great product.

This mit is cute and funny but it is actually shaped like a claw so it can’t grab anything safely. It would be a great decoration or gag gift but it’s not really practical.

These are adorable, and pretty thick so you don't have to worry about a burn. However, keep in mind, that you cannot open your hand in them exactly like normal oven mitts. I didn't really think about it when purchasing them, but it is just different, but they still work great and are cute!

Bought a bunch of these for work mates at Christmas and the gift was a crowd pleaser, and tons of fun. Even the non cooks loved it, and those with kids were thrilled with the fun their kids had with the mitts.

I got the Boston Warehouse Lobster Claw Oven Mitt as a fun decoration for a crustacean themed party I was hosting. I thought they were beyond cute and would make people laugh. That was accomplished. However, it is NOT an oven mitt. Inside it says, "decorative use only" (I'm not a kitschy restaurant hanging tchotchkes around, and even if I were, I wouldn't pay this price for a cloth decoration) and they aren't kidding. Holy crap. I burned my hand pulling the baked oysters out of the oven. Very little heat protection is built in. It might work as an oven mitt if you are lightning fast (less than 7 seconds on a hot plate.) I would not purchase these again, I'm sad to report.

This crab claw oven Mitt is super cute and funny ! Fits great, the material and quality is excellent. I can't wait to use it. I will probably buy another one to make it a set of 2. Highly recommended

Bought this as a silly gift for someone. She thought it was great. A little overpriced for what it is but I'd have paid more just to watch her giggle.
