Brilliant little bit of kit!
This arrived very quickly and was already paired to the fob, far better than the one it was replacing which needed constant pairing after every battery change. I gave up with the bracket, it just use it freestanding on a shelf in the shed, I agree, it is far too fiddly. Overall, it is very easy to use, very VERY loud & possible to arm & disarm from outside (another thing my old Yale alarm didn't do). Hopefully, it will continue to work OK....

Easy to instal but !
Went up easy enough but the remote is a bit finicky, sometimes I go to disarm the unit and don't here the usual chirp, so I arm it then disarm it, its like it disarms itself as I always make sure when I arm it I hear the chirp. So not 100% certain its actually stays armed which is annoying, I'm going to have to periodically open the door and see if it activates, which will eventually annoys the neighbours to the point they take no notice if I get an actual alarm event.

WHAT A VERY HANDY GREAT ALARM KIT
Having seen many reviews on this product.I myself had no problem atall fitting this alarm.although I am very handy as regards fiddly things, tiny screws and such.i marked both holes on wall using the plastic wall bracket.just 2 holes.I drilled them direct into the wall as high as I could(well out of reach) & located perfectly in the middle back section of my garage so item can detect all the areas i wanted covered.I then plugged both holes, then screwed it on,then screwed pir backing cover/battery cover onto the wall bracket, then slipped on the alarm and then the last thing to do was to screw the underside of pir backing cover to the pir itself.then perfectly adjust pir.literally took me 3 mins to do all I needed to.but I did not use there fixing screws provided for wall bracket,I decided to use my own longer ones for more secure fitment purposes.the swivel tilt is very handy so you can tilt adjust it perfectly to suit your garage setup needs.then press on to arm alarm it beeps, then walk away,go back after 30 secs as instructions say to test if it works/detects ok.then off to disarm.I must say I was very impressed with how loud the alarm is when it goes off,it really does pack a punch sound wise for its small size.even my dad could hear it and he only has 30% hearing ability.it even had him covering his ears cos it really does screech.you definately would not want to be in the same room as the alarm for very long atall that's for sure. Really great addition to our garage security.i can now rest easy knowing our garage is proper secure &ready if anyone was to try and break in.VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE.JUST REALLY HOPE IT LASTS.WELL WORTH THE PRICE FOR PEACE OF MIND ALONE,GREAT BIT OF ALARM KIT.

Simple to use
After a spate of garage burglaries in my area I thought it high time to add a bit of extra security. It takes seconds to set this up as the remote key fob had already been paired with the alarm base. I put the alarm in the garage ,slightly hidden, press the arm button on the remote, you get an audible beep to show that its armed, and then close the door. On opening the door press the disarm button to turn off. The alarm will beep when the door is opened and you have about 5 or so seconds to turn it off before the alarm goes off. Boy is it loud, especially in a brick garage, definitely enough to scare off most thiefs. After about 30 seconds the alarm stops but then will start up again. I really cant fault it other than suggesting that 2 key fobs should be included rather than just 1 as more than 1 person uses the garage at times when the other is out.

Works Well
Installation is a tiny bit fiddly as others have mentioned, but it's not a serious problem. I'm not sure how many times it would withstand being moved to new locations, but as I have no intention of doing that, I don't really care. The alarm is nice and loud, and the remote control is good enough to arm or disarm it from the other side of a closed metal garage door, which is a handy feature. On the subject of the remote, it's not the most robust thing I've ever seen, so I wouldn't recommend carrying it around on a key ring in your pocket. I doubt it would withstand that for long.

i know it works
quality looking alarm, it is loud and small enough to position in an out of the way place and you can turn it on through the concrete wall i know it works well because i keep forgetting to disable it before opening the door. Doh!10/02/22. had a problem with remote fob, contacted seller and received a reply the same day with suggestions on how to rectify fault. the problem is now solved, thank you Ultra Secure for your prompt attention.
