Product description is now accurate
I just received this item and I can confirm there is no release valve. The packaging refers to the release valve but the item in the package does not include this feature. Consequently, the pressure is readable only while the gauge is firmly seated on the stem. I will return it.In the time since I ordered it, the Amazon description has been changed to delete the reference to the release valve. I don't know how to rate it.If I don't expect it to hold the reading after taking it off the stem, it works fine. My scooters have large spoked wheels and this works on them. The swivel head works fine enough but it needs two hands most of the time since I need to push directly on the small swivel portion to seat it well.I will return this and purchase a different model since the pressure release valve happens to be important to me.

Quick readings, small size, easy to keep portable, but gives inconsistant results.
I bought this gauge about a month ago and have used it to perform my weekly tire pressure check on two vehicles.Pros:Forms a seal easily, gives quick, easy to interpret results. Fits in my center console along with my other autobody stuff that I keep in my primary car.Cons:Results vary by 2-3 lbs day-by-day.Now, you may be saying "Inaccurate gauge? That's a 1 or 2 stars at best!". I give this three starts because it's still a very good tool for the price for just quickly measuring that my tires are at a safe, drivable PSI. I only use this tool for ensuring that my tires aren't far off the mark for pressure, and I don't need a super exact readout for that.tl;dr: It serves its purpose adequately.

Works just like my old one
So I bought this to replace my 20 year old, kicked around, same version of this gauge. I had suspected my old one was not reading properly. So I got this new one. I am happy to report that the 20 year old one reads exactly the same as this new one. So now I have a spare to keep in my other car. The only thing I don't like about this model vs the old one is my old one had a little release valve. So it holds the needle where the pressure reading was till you press the release. Very handy. And it was my fault for not noticing it wasn't there on this new version. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this product. If you have a car, and have tires, and want them to last, having the correct tire pressure matters.

Well made, it exceeded my expectations
I read the reviews of others on this product; some mentioned that it is awkward to read. So, I was hesitant, but I wanted it because it appears compact. Well, the head is adjustable, and if you make sure the numbers are facing up when you insert the piece into the tire air pipe, there is no problem reading it. It is very well made, and it does not take much room in the glove compartment. Well done!

excellent basic tool
not really a lot you can say about a very basic pressure gauge other than it works the way it should and is convenient to both store and to use. i would certainly buy this product again should the need arise. in my opinion it performs as well as units costing much more. it doesn't have the ability to hold a reading, but you wouldn't expect that of a basic less expensive unit. it works great however.

Not made very well and seems to be inaccurate.
I have several different gauges, all of which cost more than this. Some are really old, and the range of values differed by a couple of pounds or so, with one even further off. So I tried this to get another data point. It was off average by the most of all the others, so I've since got two more, a digital Accutire (Consumer Reports winner) and a Rhino similar to this. They were within .5 lbs, and pretty close to my others, but this one is 4 lbs higher, and 7 lbs above the lowest of all.On top of accuracy concerns, this one seems a bit cheaply made. I have an old Accu-Gage from 15 - 20 years ago that still agrees with the 2 newest ones. It was made much better, and heavier duty. Also, be aware that it does not hold the reading when off the valve. I'm not judging on that, as it didn't claim to have this feature, but will admit, due to my own inattention, that I missed this when I bought it and was disappointed.

Doesn't Hold Pressure Reading
Accu-gage makes fine pressure gages, I've had a lot of them over the years. This one is nearly worthless as it does not retain the pressure reading so you can actually read the gage. My mistake, as the ones that hold the reading tend to have a valve on the side. I'd rate the gage itself a 5, the usefulness to me a zero.

Legit
Great quality and attractive to the eye. It's all metal, thin metal, and light. Construction is quality. The female valve tip rotates for adapting to angle of valve in relation to eye.All in all, it's pretty slick. After burning through the cheap counter Point Of Sale impulse ones, I figured I'd up the price on purchasing. If it goes sour, I will update this review.I always update.
