A Very Pretty Way to Deter Slugs
I am experimenting with this stuff, two ways. I have a small, wooden, raised bed of strawberries and wanted to keep the slugs away so I got this and loosely wrapped it around the outside of the bed, holding it down with earth Staples. It's been out there several weeks and seems to be working. No slug damage or slimy trails in that bed. I know they are out there because I have seen the trails on the path next to that bed.I also have taken what was left of the roll and made collars for around my squash plants. In the past, I've had a problem with squash vine borers. I'm hoping the shiny, odd feeling, copper collars will deter them from laying eggs by my plants. So far, so good, though there's no way of knowing if they just didn't make it into my garden this year.Still, my plants are looking pretty bougie with their copper bling collars.I would definitely recommend this product and I will definitely buy it again.10/04/19 - UPDATE: This worked wonders for keeping the slugs off my strawberry plants. It didn't work for keeping squash vine borers from my squash plants. I'm still leaving it at 5 stars because it was the best thing ever for keeping slugs out of a raised bed. I will be buying it again next spring. I could probably use it for a few seasons but it's not as shiny as it was when I first installed it.

No more bats!!
So it's been over a year, and NO MORE BATS!!! We had tried everything, this stuff works. It did take a few different methods, this is what worked: We waited until it was the right time - August is your window - we stuffed the mesh in under that trim that runs up the side of the house to the peak (we witnessed bats flying out of there) Then we got a huge sheet of plastic and duct taped it to the peak, letting it hang down several feet, open on the bottom. Don't put the mesh where the plastic will go yet, you want them to fly out. Google bat evacuation. This will look pretty ghetto but better than bats in the attic. The bats fly out of this plastic "funnel" and can't fly back in. After about 10 days we removed the plastic and stuffed mesh into the peak and any spots that we missed. Now get yourself a cold drink and sit in your chair at dusk and watch. Do the bats come out? NO!! Mission accomplished! If they have moved to another part of the house, which is possible, repeat these steps. Start early August so you have a month to move the plastic if need be. The mesh is still tucked away under our eaves, never fell out, I can't even see it. This stuff was a miracle!

Great for rodent control
I used this roll of copper wool to plug in holes next to my house foundation that mice build. It was a bit of a game of whack-a-mole. Each time I plugged a hole they'd create a new one somewhere else. But I kept up with the game and eventually we stopped finding mice in our traps inside the house. I rip/cut this, and bits of copper do get all over the place so be careful with that. I then use a screwdriver to shove it in the hole to make a tight fit. The rodents hate chewing the metal and the copper doesn't rust like steel wool does. Sadly, I've noticed the price of this product can fluctuate widely with the commodity price of copper.

So far, so good
This copper mesh has so far kept the mice that had been getting into our attached garage out. I stuffed a goodly bunch of the mesh in the two tiny holes they had gnawed through the wood shingles to get inside the garage, and since that time, the mouse traps have been kept empty - a big relief to me, as I did hate finding and getting rid of a dead mouse that had been trapped every few days. The copper mesh arrived quickly, and am very pleased. It has worked better than the pest control company that had been treating the garage for the mice - and it is much cheaper! Hopefully, it continues to work for us, and the mice do not learn to pull it from the holes. or gnaw a hole someplace else to get inside.

Great for weepholes
This stuff is great for filling weepholes to keep annoying pests and vermin out of your brick walls. Note that when cutting you'll get a lot of copper threads all over the place, so I recommend doing this outdoors. It folds up nicely like a copper sponge which you can then insert into your weepholes. Be sure not to use too much as this will affect airflow (which the weepholes are meant for), but just use enough so that it stays in there well and check it every month or so to make sure the pests haven't been able to push it out (or in I suppose).

Not for rats
Roof Rats entered my house via the doggie door and were well rewarded with 40 pounds of dog food. Even though I closed the doggie door, they still got in and it took my exterminator weeks to find out where. Turns out they had gone up underneath the siding, chewed through the Tyvec and sheathing and eaten their way in to the house. I ordered this stuff and stuffed the hole with it. A week later, I saw 3 of them in the house so I called another exterminator that dealt exclusively with rodents. He immediately went right to that same hole. I told him, (with attitude) that rats couldn't chew through this stuff. He showed me all the little pieces of copper they had chewed through. He fixed it with 1/4 in galavanized hardware cloth and haven't seen one since.I realize I had determined rodents because they kept getting rewarded when they chewed their way in. This stuff would probably work great as a preventative measure but not once they have made entry. From what I have read, rats can chew through concrete.Bottom line: as a preventative measure, A+. Once they have been in and know there is food, this is nothing more than a little extra chewing.

Effective and simple way to keep the small 4 footed critters out.
Was simple to use as it is a roll. Easy to work with; can be doubled and molded you fit the space coversed. Used to keep a chipmunk from making a racetrack track along the sill of the house where it sits on the foundation. Chipmonk got in at a small corner opening in board and batten siding. Patched with this preduction and stapled along side sill outside. Think I beat the chipmunk this time.
