Licorice is gross, let's face it. However, when you are faced with getting a gift for that hard to buy for friend who enjoys the odd box of Good and Plenty, upgrade them to this. Came in a nice sized, higher end box - they actually look delicious as well as gourmet. I don't know whether they are as tasty as they look, but I have some confidence because the Swedes are known for their licorice and these are made on a tiny island off the coast of Sweden (yes, I looked it up). I'm actually ALMOST tempted to try one...

I ordered these for my mom who is a black licorice lover! Oh and a chocolate lover too! So the two together right!? Maybe?And honestly, I ordered them for her for Christmas, but I was concerned they weren’t going to be yummy so I held them back and didn’t give them to her initially. Then as the day went on, and we were all relaxing I brought them out and gave them to her while we were playing some games.To my absolute surprise, they were such a unique taste! The outside covering was firm and neat. Directly under that, was a thin delicious chocolate, surrounding a lovely chewy black licorice center! So delicious! Some I liked better than others!We all liked them so much I ordered them again! The caramel ones were my favorites! I don’t even know how to explain how caramel got in there! And how all those flavors work brilliantly together! But they absolutely do!If you have a black licorice lover, and want a unique gift, this would be a perfect special gift!

I've purchased many Lakrids by Bulow coated licorices and have enjoyed every flavor I have tried. I found a go-to treat I planned to order frequently, and I was experimenting with the few flavors I had not tried. The raspberry flavor was disgusting. I'm unsure whether I got a bad batch or the flavor is always unpleasant. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with a large, expensive jar of them because they will not accept returns. What a disappointment for such an expensive treat. I'll throw them away rather than subject any guest to this flavor. They say they are non-returnable because they are perishable. They did not arrive refrigerated and do not require any refrigeration, so I'm unsure why they are considered perishable. I understand that they can't resell anything returned as a food product, but it seems to me that they are using the perishable content label to prevent legitimate returns. I will re-evaluate additional orders now, given their no-return policy.

Good packaging, good licorice. Too bad it's so expensive and so heavily promoted. Hard to find anything else as much as this shows up in search results. Good for a gift at least. I'd never shell out this much for candy otherwise.

lOVE EVERY FLAVOR OF THESE LAKRIDS LICORICES. Can't get enough of them. Eating one every so often throughout the day helps me avoid gorging on other foods.

Dear God, these are DELICIOUS! I discovered these on a trip to Denmark and Norway and I LOVE black licorice and I LOVE mint chocolate. I have had chocolate covered licorice before but these,…. I’m in heaven.
