NESCO LM-2-6 Round Plastic Mesh 13 1/2" Clean-A-Screens, for Dehydrators, (Pack of 2)

I love my Nesco Clean A Screen Trays! I use them in my Nesco Snackmaster Pro and they work like a charm. The mesh is the perfect texture and spacing. This allows plenty of air to move through the items while they are dehydrating. Because it is made of a silicone material, nothing sticks to it and everything cleans up so easily. I don't use these tray inserts for everything I put in the machine. I only use them for the sticky or fragile items like fruit pieces or herbs. Right now, I have some mint sprigs dehydrating and I am using these Nesco screen trays. Everything has been going for about 14 hours and the herbs are very easy to move around and change positions for new air flow. I will come back and attach photos to show the trays in use. This is making my life so much easier when it comes to dehydrating. I have been very satisfied with their performance so far. When I used these for teriyaki beef jerky... they absolutely saved my life. I had never made this jerky before and it ended up being very sticky. If I had just laid those pieces on my standard tray, I would have ended up with shredded beef pieces and that's not a good look. But, with these flexible screen trays, I was able to pry them off slowly and everything was nice and pretty. (With a fun waffle pattern from the screen. lol) These screens have lasted a few years now with pretty regular use.

Bought this two-pack of mesh screens to see how they worked with my new Nesco dehydrator. They worked so well for the grape tomatoes that I decided to buy a second set, since the dehydrator has four trays. Well worth the money. I also dehydrated herbs, and the screens kept them from falling through the spaces on the trays. They are a nice quality and easy to clean.

I use these for dehydrating pepper mash from making hot sauce. These work great, no sticking!

The screen mesh works very well for smaller herbs in the dehydrator. The mesh is a little smaller than the dehydrator drawers, but it's a close enough fit and it's still works wonderful. Would buy again.

I’ve been using the Nesco FD-75PR Food Dehydrator since August 2012. These Nesco LM-2 Clean-A-Screen liners are invaluable. I dehydrate meat, peppers, herbs (basil, mint, oregano) & fruit (bananas, mangos, pineapple & lots more). The dehydrator gets used every couple of weeks. Cleaning the grates in the unit can be a PIA. You can soak them in hot soapy water until the stuck on jerky softens, then lightly scrub off & place in the dishwasher. Even better, get these Nesco LM-2 Clean-A-Screens. These are soft plastic liners that you place on the grills of each section of the unit. The screens will keep the majority of the marinades, meat & fruit bits from sticking to the grates & are far easier to clean. They also make removing the dehydrated foods easier. Some foods tend to really stick to the plastic grates. With these, you will just peel them off the mats. When it comes to herbs, it keeps the small leaves from falling through to the bottom of the unit. If you own a Nesco Dehydrator (FD-28JX, FD-37, FD-39, FD-60, FD-61, FD-61WHC, FD-75PR, and FD-75A) order these Nesco LM-2 Clean-A-Screens, they’re worth every penny.

Dehydrator trays for fruit leathers. I also use one on the bottom layer of racks to catch drops and spills. This saves washing the bottom. They stain but wash easily. I don’t mind the stains as no one sees them but me.

I ordered these by mistake. I wanted the solid disks for making fruit leather - obviously I was not paying enough attention. Rather than return them I decided to use them. I would not have paid that much for the product - they were a bit expensive when I can just use the regular tray, but I do enjoy them. I dried racks of dill. These trays definitely made removal of the dried dill easier because they can be bent/curved and the dried herb drop off easily.

I love these things! They are much easier to clean than the trays themselves, and they work great for dehydrating cooked pasta -- and yes, that actually makes sense for backpacking, as it uses significantly less stove fuel to rehydrate dehydrated cooked pasta than it does to cook dry pasta. I've got one for every tray now.

Have only used them to make beef jerky so far. They are easy to clean and help prevent the jerky from sticking to the trays but I don't know if it is really needed. Maybe if you are making something stickier it will be much more needed and appreciated. They work as advertised and I have no problems or complaints about them.
