This rug is so cute! I bought it to designate a play area in my nursery and am so impressed with the quality! I bought the pink 35" x 51" for $20 and think it's a great value for the money! As a former preschool teacher, It's hard to find quality kids rugs for that price and I would recommend this rug for classroom use. Pros: - As described, my rug arrived clean and in good condition - True to Eric Carle theme - Easy to clean (cat puked first day on the G Giraffe and you can't tell at all!) - Arrived flat without creasing - Fits nicely in front of Ikea Kallax shelf Cons: - Thin, does not provide much cushion, but works well for my purposes - I ordered the pink rug and it is more of a bubble gum color than a pastel - Not all of the letter examples are the best to promote early reading (for example, it's better to demonstrate G with a hard 'g' sound like goat) but it does give some good examples for letters that notoriously get bad examples (for example, X got what looks to be a fox to demonstrate the 'x' sound) - These rugs are often out of stock and it can be hard to get the color/size you want Overall this rug is perfect for a storybook nursery theme, a classroom, or a children's library!

This Eric Carle alphabet rug checks every box. The colors are vibrant and true to the photos, and the familiar Eric Carle animal illustrations instantly draw the children in—within minutes they were hopping from letter to letter, naming the animals and practicing phonics without any coaxing from me. The 6’ 6” × 9’ 5” size is generous enough to comfortably seat a whole circle-time group yet still fits neatly in our reading nook. Best of all, it’s genuinely machine-washable. After a paint-splatter incident, I rolled it up, tossed it into our commercial washer, and it emerged looking brand-new—no fading, fraying, or bunching. The backing also holds firm on hardwood and carpet alike, so there’s no sliding during our more energetic activities. If you need an educational rug that can handle the realities of a busy classroom (or a playroom at home) while brightening the space, this is it. Highly recommended!

This rug is so cute and great quality for my reading section in my classroom. It is a great spot for students to sit (I work with Kinder friends) and they can enjoy looking at the alphabet on the rug with all the unique animals. The colors are also so vibrant and pretty.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: super cute but came with a snag in it which was disappointing. it also came wrapped in a bag with a “ship to amazon” label like it had been bought and returned once already which was weird. but overall it didn’t impact the rug itself and it’s a cute addition to our playroom

Just unrolled this carpet and it’s really pretty, and very soft. I can’t speak to durability or easy of cleaning but first impression is really good. It isn’t super thick and there are several little plastic tags I would highly recommend snipping with scissors vs just ripping. I could see the ripping causing snagging.

I love the color of this rug however it gets dirty so fast and all the dirt shows. I had it in my classroom but was constantly having to clean it. It says machine washable but I noticed it wouldn’t clean very well because of the size l. The bottom also started to get ruined when machine washing so I switched to cleaning with a green machine but it was way too much work. The kids did like how soft it was but we were constantly having to shift where it was because it would bunch up on top of the carpet in my classroom. I personally think it’s too much work to maintain in a classroom where dirty feet will step on it all day long.

I am extremely disappointed with the rug I purchased from this seller on Amazon. Upon arrival, I was initially pleased with its appearance, but that quickly faded as the rug began to unravel and fall apart after just a few days of use. The edges are fraying, the threads are coming loose, and it's shedding like crazy, leaving a mess all over my floor. It's clear that the quality of this rug is subpar and not worth the money I spent on it. I would not recommend buying from this seller if you're looking for a durable and long-lasting rug. Save yourself the hassle and invest in a better-quality product elsewhere.
